The MCC has made the MFC irreplaceable. We owed them a debt which we are now about to start repaying big time. This includes, not allowing, in the foreseeable future The AFL or any bloody Government for that matter to call the shots with the precinct. As for the grass roots level, we should never be not proud of supporting a Club/anything, who needed a hand up, and that would be/ is what i say.

Yes, i'm about the same, sorry to say that i was used to seeing the big games so much then that i went along into the members and didn't bother watching this one until the last qtr when it looked like we were going to lose and i watched the last qtr without a blink in the mud.

11 minute mark of last qtr, Hannon takes a mark but at last minute spills from his hands. Umpire had, a split second earlier, blown whistle, not for the mark, but i think for the push in the back. So when Hannon spilt same mark he, maggot, decided to ball it up. Amazing.

People seem to forget a few things. The first is that both Cats and Hawks got visibly tired sometime in each of the third quarters. They both got tired because of, amongst other things, their game style of obtaining continuous position to retain possession. We don't have to be D King to figure it out. Statistics in that sort of bare indicative totality are not the whole answer. You play any opposition on their merits and West Coast do not play anything like Hawthorn. Their style with their personnel is so much more direct and control in the middle will create the necessary pressure into their F Line, so don't be surprised by any ensuing frenetic activity thereabouts from this game onwards. The opposition all know what to do, but they cannot, to date, do it!!

Cannot "get" Cameron as a player or person, but i reckon in the right hands he would be a gem. The rest of them would appear to be too spiritually minded for my liking....

This topic in some ways would seem to exacerbate the usage of saying that it's "not the Crown (goal) it's the Clothes (journey)" theory. This is one i agree with. I also wonder about whether the "choke" idea that was being tossed around yesterday had anything to do with the overwhelming mood afterwards.
