  1. Come on guys its pretty obvious that he has the $hitz or the sulks after being dropped & is just going through the motions at Casey. Don't forget he pretty much did the same when he was at Carlton. Its disappointing but you can't have a rule for Jeffy and another rule for everyone else. He is on good money & if he doesn't stop sulking I can't see any alternative to delisting him.
  2. That is complete bull$ittt. That would be the same Goody who was part of the team that decided Dunn wasn't up to AFL & consistently played Oscar McD when he was barely VFL level let alone AFL standard. Frost makes errors but he will learn & he has all the attributes to make it at AFL level but has been starved of opportunity.

We won't know if Pert's any good until after he's been in the job a while: I thought Ray Ellis was going to be good I thought Schwab was going to be good I thought MacNamee was going to be good I thought Harris was going to be good Etc Etc Etc
  4. It stopped being "our great game" when it changed from being 18 on 18 to 22 on 22 - effectively 8 more players in the game. Add additional levels of fitness so they can run all day & it the game has become a continual, congested rugby scrum.

I used to think we had been dudded & Leroy & Lewis were easily the 2 best Jettas but Nev has proved me wrong & gone past both of them. His peripheral vision and ability to deliver the ball cleanly & to advantage are second to none.
  6. Its a ruthless game & there is no room for sentimentality if you want to be successful. I love the bloke but reckon he is struggling & lucky to be in the 22. Should be delisted at years end.

Seems to totally lack any aggression or physical edge to his game. Reminds me very much of Col Garland. ATM he is a back up player & not in my best 22 but still handy to have. Would love to see him develop a bit of "mongrel'.
  8. Nothing bizarre about it. The last 3 times we played them we have had their measure but only managed to win 1 of those mainly due to lack of composure & experience. We have improved from 2017 more than they have.

  10. AFL Pre-Season Draft held at the end of Season 2009 2009 AFL Pre-Season Draft Summary Round Pick Drafted By Player Current Team Games Since Drafted 1 1 Melbourne Joel Macdonald 44 1 2 Richmond Dylan Grimes Richmond 104 1 3 Fremantle Adam McPhee 56 1 4 Sydney Daniel Bradshaw 9 1 5 West Coast Ryan Neates 1 1 6 Port Adelaide Scott Harding 2 1 7 Essendon Kyle Hardingham
  11. Mate I don't think you have a clue. Grimes is 26 with over 100 games up. Played 25 games this year. Flag winner & 5th in the Tigers B&F in a Premiership year. Plays on talls or shorts & is the first picked in their defence after Rance. Tough, smart & determined - coaches love him & supporters love him.
  12. And here's me thinking that the whole point of football was to win premierships. Obviously the Richmond coaches think Grimes skill are adequate for the job but you obviously know better.
  13. Might have been reliable & dedicated but still a poor selection by the Club IMHO. He was courageous but not overly quick & had very average skills. Basically a Casey level player useful as a backup. To add further insult we picked him in the 09 pre season draft ahead of Dylan Grimes.
  14. If he wants to stay on our list he must improve his kicking. Even 30m out on a 45 deg angle he cannot be relied on.
  15. Jackson's most important job now is to make sure that whenever he decides to leave his replacement is as good as he is.

Some perspective please. Thought his last few weeks have been disappointing (along with many others). Saturday was arguably his best game for us. Lets hope he keeps up the good form.
  17. Ridiculous comment contrary to all the evidence we have seen. First of all JT was not underperforming - he was injured so it doesn't lay the law down to anyone. Plus Richmond would not have bothered with a medical if the deal was a sham & both Trengove & Roos have indicated in interviews that the deal would have gone ahead.
  18. Just logged on here to look at some some footy & it seems its a private site for a few mates - seriously can't you people maybe just email each other instead of clogging the site up with personal chit chat.
