  1. Time for the Empire to strike back. Petracca and Oliver want out. That must net us 4 first rounders.See ya later.
  2. Like many here I have had family in ICU and with illness. Roffey doing a simple gesture of which there are many such as a phone call/ text, send something to the house is an act of human kindness. To view it through the lens of her responsibility according to the Club hierarchy is not the way to go if that puts restrictions on her reaching out to Trac.
  3. Is it just me or is the team giving a bit of a 1967 year vibe about it. Three years after the 64 flag we still had some premiership hero’s and some young talent. Ruck stocks were on par with the weekends team - obviously Gawn missing. However I see Gawn as game to game. One more knee injury and he retires.
  4. You could be right. Who do you have as rucking?
  5. Does anyone read into this that Petty is staying. I doubt he would happily agree to ruck if he was Adelaide bound. I think it’s ok for him to ruck, he is big enough, but of course we all worry about injury with him.
  6. It’s easy to fix. The AFL could charge lower rents for the fans. How good to get some South Melb Dim Sims at the game.
  7. Sounds promising. I am enjoying this season, not our best but a great opportunity to win game at a time, sneak into the eight and win a final or two. Feels more like seasons of old. It will be touch and go but I hope to enjoy each game.
  8. Salem is a good footballer, I don’t like the word, elite , what happened to, star. I would just like him to gain more metres going forward rather than sideways or slightly forward. I don’t know if stats back up my thoughts but that is how it looks to me.
  9. Do not be surprised to see North take Luke Trainor at number one. Grandson of Doug Wade and his grandfather on the other side, Ex. north President, Frank Trainor.
  10. Tough to watch but maybe the players moved in. We have no one to rough him and if we did what would they do, Rhys Jones hit on Banks, running elbow like many of the so called tough guys, let alone a bump which would earn our players 3 weeks. For now Maynard is the toughest kid in the blocks until we get Lukar in the side.
  11. If true he has to find form at Casey or go to backline. I have always found him to be one of those tall kids/ guys who could naturally take a good mark but not a fanatical footballer like others with less ability in that area. He is also a good spoiler so in defence he has 2 good strings to his bow. Strong marking and spoiling. In attack only marking and that is a more difficult in attack.
  12. If Petty goes to defence could someone tell me who he could be a match for in Collingwood forward line
  13. I agree with all you have said and I would add having Chandler and Laurie makes the Billing’s Hunter gets even worse. Early but I don’t think young Brown will make it.
  14. It was sadly all over for him on the night of the Collingwood game. So I would assume we would have got another pick or kept Jordan, no star but getting a game with the top side.
  15. Trac waving his arms in frustration with someone was unusual.
  16. It’s all been said before so you likely know. Brayshaw going down before season got going was a blow to the Club, made us one mid short in a side poorly stocked for mids.
  17. Forgiven. Well. The obvious was to take on the medical advice.
  18. Petty goes back Tomlinson forward I have never been so short of ideas to change things around in 60 plus years of optimism. Bewildered by sameness of Chandler, Spargo, Laurie, Billings Bewildered by sameness of tall forwards. Bewildered we didn’t make the obvious decision on Brayshaw pre draft. Based on ongoing health concern.
  19. We remain MFC, not a club who resorts to borderline tactics to win games. shocking news that we lost a player with great ability, but great news for Angus future health. Hopefully now he can fully recover and go on to another chapter in life. I for one would have hated to see he playing well but always being one knock away from serious health concerns. well done Angus, premiership player, serious fan favourite, players player and a player who lived up to his early draft pick placing.
  20. Crowd support only matched in our first final of 87. What a night. Will never forget the combined spirit of the crowd and our fab players ladt night
