Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
I was never impressed with Perts resume prior to joining us but met him once and he was pleasant. I congratulated him on his part in the 2021 Premiership as a 60 year plus supporter. Strangely he immediately moved the conversation to..and how good were our girls as if for a supporter who has experienced misery for decades cares equally for the men’s and women’s game.

Oliver Trade Rumours
Clod light of day Pert shops Oliver around. Oliver sits and talk with Geelong they sell strong Football Club strong coaching group talented team Modern trading facility within 20 minutes of beach lifestyle deakin University for his course of study If we don’t make Geelong pay by getting a player they don’t want to lose we will be walked over for years in and off the ground.

Sam De Koning
True but I noted we ran Port to within a goal late in the year with an ineffective and injured Oliver and Trac out injured. Clearly we would need to bolster the midfield at the draft.

If I was in charge I would be thinking something similiar.

Time for the Empire to strike back. Petracca and Oliver want out. That must net us 4 first rounders.See ya later.

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
Like many here I have had family in ICU and with illness. Roffey doing a simple gesture of which there are many such as a phone call/ text, send something to the house is an act of human kindness. To view it through the lens of her responsibility according to the Club hierarchy is not the way to go if that puts restrictions on her reaching out to Trac.

Christian Petracca
I doubt any prospective Club doctor/s will give him a pass on a medical. He like Brayshaw last year is one heavy knock away from retirement.

Christian Petracca
I have no inside information but here is my take. Trac was very likely told by doctors he had severely put him self at risk by going back into the ground. At the very least he would have been told he suffered a serious injury. I feel he went back on because he felt we wouldn’t win without him. A fairly realistic assessment. However spending time in hospital would have had him think about the clubs negligence in regard to his welfare. It didn’t need a doctor to tell you he was badly hurt. It looked very similiar to the hit Dipper received in the 87 grand final. All this would have been reinforced when he was told how strict he needed to comply with doctors orders in his recovery and return to fitness. So in summary he is looking at it thinking I very nearly put my life on line for the club all the while others are taking the [censored].

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
Is it just me or is the team giving a bit of a 1967 year vibe about it. Three years after the 64 flag we still had some premiership hero’s and some young talent. Ruck stocks were on par with the weekends team - obviously Gawn missing. However I see Gawn as game to game. One more knee injury and he retires.

Food at the Footy
It’s easy to fix. The AFL could charge lower rents for the fans. How good to get some South Melb Dim Sims at the game.

Christian Salem - Elite or Good Ordinary
Salem is a good footballer, I don’t like the word, elite , what happened to, star. I would just like him to gain more metres going forward rather than sideways or slightly forward. I don’t know if stats back up my thoughts but that is how it looks to me.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Do not be surprised to see North take Luke Trainor at number one. Grandson of Doug Wade and his grandfather on the other side, Ex. north President, Frank Trainor.

Maynard unscathed
Tough to watch but maybe the players moved in. We have no one to rough him and if we did what would they do, Rhys Jones hit on Banks, running elbow like many of the so called tough guys, let alone a bump which would earn our players 3 weeks. For now Maynard is the toughest kid in the blocks until we get Lukar in the side.

SOLUTIONS NEEDED. 2 JUNE 2024. Memo to Goody
If true he has to find form at Casey or go to backline. I have always found him to be one of those tall kids/ guys who could naturally take a good mark but not a fanatical footballer like others with less ability in that area. He is also a good spoiler so in defence he has 2 good strings to his bow. Strong marking and spoiling. In attack only marking and that is a more difficult in attack.

Harrison Petty
If Petty goes to defence could someone tell me who he could be a match for in Collingwood forward line

Petty goes back Tomlinson forward I have never been so short of ideas to change things around in 60 plus years of optimism. Bewildered by sameness of Chandler, Spargo, Laurie, Billings Bewildered by sameness of tall forwards. Bewildered we didn’t make the obvious decision on Brayshaw pre draft. Based on ongoing health concern.
