I read today that Hinkley has coached Port for 12 seasons and in that time they’ve never, in any season: Had a winning record against top 4 teams, and Only had ONE season with a winning record against other top 8 teams. The very definition of downhill skiers.

Interesting article on AFL.com about the metrics the Eagles use to measure their players, and how it played into them resting Reid this week. Anyone know any more about how this stuff is measured, and what it means for someone like Windsor? I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s given a rest soon.

I found Maysie’s interview post game such an interesting example of modern day coaching. He said that at half time Goodwin had a laugh with them about how bad the kicking had been, and told them to improve their fundamentals. 15 years go that was screaming, and fire and brimstone.

He was just Clayton. He’s a bit of a left of centre thinker, and he’s honest, almost to a fault. He’s been handling himself extremely well, and I think he should be really proud of himself. Just because people are different doesn’t mean we should question everything they say and do. He’s not a robot, and that’s why he’s so valuable.

I love Jesse. I have a lot of admiration for his journey, and wish him nothing but success after all he’s had to overcome at such a young age. But a player should get a week for that.
