  1. I haven't read one of the posts. I'm sure many of these games you speak of have given me nightmares. I choose not to relive them, why would anyone? Once was enough. There really are a lot of sad cases around here '@Axis of Bob '
  2. Seeing as White is not a Melbourne listed player that's going to be difficult to achieve 'Deemania'...
  3. He cost us momentum and has no footy IQ...it's not lack of talk, it's lack of awareness and poor decision making. Casey from now on unless we have injuries to cover.
  4. It's a tactic that's been used for near on 10 years now. We should be on top off it... Agree...
  5. This has been going on for years now...it's nothing new. Pretty sure it was Malthouse that first used it with C/Wood. We should be well aware & able to counter it by now.
  6. I've also thought of Harmes & Stretch. Smith has been struggling since injury, not sure who else we have at Casey. Hunt has to come back in, that's a certainty. Also it's not just Lewis/Vince, Jetta is the worst of the 3 at the moment.
  7. You can't have Jetta, Lewis & Vince in the backs together. Way too slow... When they were talking about Lewis playing back over the break alarm bells went off for me. Don't know how we fix it against the Tiges but Goody better come up with something from left field to tackle their small forwards. Some players are going to need new positions and others spend some time at Casey. Anyone have creative idea's about who to move back? Melk is one I would throw up...really needs to turn his career around.

When you look at that backline 'Andrew' it's no wonder we can't hold a team on a run... ...apart from positioning (plan) the leg speed is not there. Hibberd is the only one with any pace at all. We just can't have Lewis, Vince and Jetta in the back 6 together. One is enough, we need to find some run to feed off Lever & Omac... ...and please leave Frost back in the VFL.
  9. Yep, and then Frost gave up a couple of howlers...all momentum gone.

I thought Frost cost us momentum at the end of the first Q and again at the start of the 2nd Q....he has absolutely no football IQ. Honestly should not play again unless we are down on numbers. We won't need him against the Tiges so Hunt should come back in. Bugg's skills and poor decisions also cost around the same time when we had them on the mat. Hannan back for Bugg. ...and Tyson back if recovered from virus. For those wondering about the value of Tyson, then look at the game today and see how much help Oliver got around the middle.
  11. According to the CEO of the distributing company the product has been on the market for 70 years so it's been more than fully tested on humans. Just not used in this way until recently.
  12. After hearing the chief of the company involved it seems more like the AFL playing funny buggers here. Everything seems above board on the company end, not sure what the AFL agenda is but he is getting the don't call us routine from Dill... Who would have thought.
  13. Looks like another mess the AFL is involved in... I hope we aren't into this stuff yet. The company says it's approved the AFL chief doc say not. Will the AFL and clubs ever learn? https://smallcaps.com.au/afl-teams-paradigm-biopharma-pain-relieving-medication/ More in the Herald Sun that I don't have access to.

It just seems to me that the club has found a better way to do business going forward. I wouldn't be to worried about arguing the pros and cons of gambling revenue, as they have said it's not a core business. Invest in what you know, seems that's what we are doing. Jackson seems pretty astute to me, I can't see him giving away a revenue stream unless he has something to replace it that is at least on par and maybe better than what we have. I'm really interested to see where this all leads...
  15. Lehman has done the right thing in stepping down as coach. It's a pity Hird didn't do the same and accept responsibility for what happened on his watch. This whole business would have been done and dusted long ago if he had.
  16. Thirded, for same reasons... The fat lady hasn't sung plus the cricket situation, the cultural implications & how it's being handled is very relevant to the EFC one.
  17. Huge difference... Look at the support staff around Petty. This wasn't available at the other inferior camp.
  18. The idea of these camps and getting the edge is beyond stupidity.... ...I've got a novel idea, how about you recruit the right players put the right resources in place and then train them to play football.
  19. No, it's the same cultural problem. Win at all costs...combined with our guys would never cheat....and if caught use as many weasel words as you can fit in a sentence. This was not a one off, it's systematic in Australian sport and society. News....Australians are as good at cheating as anyone else. It was almost condoned in the EFC situation. It's par for course in politics. This comes from the top down...Coaches and Captain sacked for me if we are serious. I bet they get smashed with all the force of a wet lettuce leaf. My trust in top line sport is at an all time low and it's not too high to start with.

6 disposals 2 goals in a losing team. Weideman in his debut game had 13 disposals 2 goals, was hampered by a corked thigh in the second half and we won... Now let me think a bit before I write a mindless statement. Yep, I got it... Weideman looked good and made an impact.

I hope he has a good start to the year as we are going to need him with Tommy Mac going down. I don't have the faith in Pedders that others have. I think he is a good running ruck but struggles as a key forward. A lot will rest on Trac, Hannan and Fritsch to cover the loss of McDonald.
  22. I'm not sure if blame is the word but the FD must take some responsibility... Playing an important player coming back from ankle surgery in the off season in the AFLX was not smart. Tom was in rehab earlier in the preseason and came to the main group late. It was a dumb move playing him. ...not to mention that the AFLX game is one that Tom is not suited to. There was nothing to be gained by playing him.
  23. I wouldn't think so... I think we have one of the hardest lists in the AFL now, I don't think any club would find us to be bruise free with the likes of Viney, Oliver, Vince, Lewis, Jetta, Hibberd, Petracca, Harmes, Lever and more on the list. No, I think you are way off the mark.
  24. No, the players weren't concerned about lack of sleep or a couple of little injuries.. I know it doesn't suit your narrative but the issue was lack of qualified MFC support staff at the camp to look after injured players. My understanding is everything was left in the hands of the people running the camp...not how you look after your major asset I would have thought. The 1st camp was not well organised and players lost trust. We move on. Lets hope everyone learned from this, players, coaches, administrators...the proof will be in the seasons ahead.
