We could trade a high pick for Patton who GWS can on trade for Fyfe. Then trade for Danger if Adelaide get iffy. Patton and Danger would be great gets.

Yes I like draft picks as I have already said it is currency to get talent on our list. You just contradicted yourself by bringing up my suggested trades while saying I favor drafting at the same time. But yeah good on you for trying to twist my posts and examples. I will say it for a 3rd time as it seems it hasn't registered for you yet. I like draft picks to trade/draft with/get talent on our list. Anyway is fine as long as we have the currency.

I am not saying what we should do wuth them. I am simply saying we need them to get talent on oue list, either by drafting or trading. There are some here saying we should not rely on draft picks but they are the only type of currency we can get to improve our list at the moment. You are making the assumption in my posts that I prefer to draft or trade but I favor neither. I just want some early picks to fix our lack of talent anyway we can.

Vince and Tyson were obtained by trading high draft picks. Hence without the picks we have no currency to bring in Talent. We will not become a good team without quality draft picks.

Just look over last 7 yeara of threads. I didnt make this thread but I do like to try find positives and at the moment this is sadly one of them. Unfortunately our team has a lack of talent from the past years of recruiting. We need picks to address the problem. We will never develop the Bails, Terlichs and Nicholsons into stars as they simply lack the talent. Lots of posters are saying we need to fix this ourselves however without the talent I do not know how we could possibly fix this.

Why are people opening the Pp thread to tell people not to think about PP. If you dont want to discuss it then dont click on the thread.

The problem is the nominations are usually made at the start of the season while the PP is decided at the end of the season. If this were to happen players would be nominating not even knowing if any PP's would even be given that year. They could potentially go through the whole nomination process and have no PPs given which would make it a waste of time.

Its not a bad idea but it would be to late to incorporate now. Where would the nominations come from? How would it be awarded? For the team who comes last? For teams who have won less then 5 games in past 2 years? These are things that need to be defined before the season begins, if they wait until the end of the year to see how we go it would be to late to find 17 yr olds willing to nominate at such late notice and much of the talent may not even nominate or able. Remember some of these 17 yr olds would still be in high school next year.

Think the date to nominated as a 17 yr old has past (If it were going to be included this year). They usually did the nominations at the start of the season.

Pick 20 and 40 should also help, thats a Dunstan and JKH on top of a Boyd, Kelly and Grundy. 5 good to go.
