  3. That should be 2 Watters was an apprentice as well
  4. At last they realise your training regime is addictive. Gone is the 9am starts and a nap at 2 in the afternoon. Now we will be awake when we play matches. Yay!

  7. I'd of thought Could we get this correct. It's giving me the irits. I would have woulda, coulda, shoulda. Could of, should of, would of, don't exist in anyone's vocab.
  8. Jack, I may have missed something with the meeting we had with the AFL. I know we were after concessions in the draft. Did the AFL agree to any? If so what?
  9. I really don't know what craig does or can do. But I really do hope we can get that win against the lions up in Darwin. I'll be taking the good lady with me to see her first game of footy. I do not want another thrashing. A win would be amazing. But getting back to the what can he do now. He needs to correct the mindset of the players, that clearly did not want to play under Neeld. You only have to see the way the players play for Casey. I know it is only VFL, but it's their whole mindset and application that is different. This weekend we will see if the players were foxing or really are C**p
  10. Apart from opening remark, he was just stating the bleeding obvious, no news there. Move on.
  11. the 3 words ROOS used that gives us a bit of hope....."at the moment".... I don't want to coach
  12. I think PJ will search for an appropriate candidate, with the help of the AFL. He knows how they work and the type of President would be right. After all the AFL will be closely monitoring any selections. I believe that the appointment of PJ is as close as being put under an administrator as you can get without calling it that.
  13. McQueen, McLardy out Spargo in. This could change further this week.
  14. Gutless, responding on social media. Anyone that complains about someone at work or family on social network deserves all the shite that falls on their lot. Hang on am I just doing that. I'm going to have a lot of shite on me now.
  15. The board will be the only ones left to feel the brunt in the next few months. All the assistant coaches will remain in their current positions. When the new coach is appointed, he will bring the assistants he requires.
  16. It is all very subjective. Who is the best available this year in any given pick of the draft. A lot of these kids just don't make the grade. We don't usually know who is best in any particular draft until until 2 or 3 years down the track. I'd love to have the fore thought of hindsight. Look at Geelongs recruiting and development, you can't tell me they had picks of the best available. But they were smart enough to develop players that they thought had the right attributes to make good players.
  17. Banoffee is a delicacy in Scotland. Runs a close second to deep fried Mars bars. Redleg I think you will have a very heavy track at Seymour. (oops! just checked abandoned) Does anyone know a reliable Handyman looking for work?. (sounds a bit oxymoronish) Tradies have been letting me down for months.
  18. What a sad thread. 29 posts and the best we can come up with is Davey, Toumpas, Trengove and Kent. That's 4 kicks for the year that we can get excited about. That really explains why we have massive turnovers.
  19. He hasn't done anything yet, apart from the reporting mechanism that CS had in place. He has said he didn't agree with amount of inexperience in the FD and that needs to be addressed.
  20. There was a Thread set up for him a month or so ago. He was a founder for his company Freeman McMurray an sold out in 2005 ? to AON he is now a Director of AON
  21. I know I will be hounded by most D'Landers for my next comment. So be it. Nathan Jones our best player, needs to step up and improve his disposal. He is fantastic at getting the ball but his disposal by foot is usually just a long bomb to no one or a miss kick to the opposition. His handballs rarely go to a player not under pressure. Neeld an a lot of players talk about the turnovers in the centre, he is a prime candidate for that.
  22. Dr. G, I came to the same conclusions as you. If he doesn't see any significant improvements next year, and I mean wins on the board. Then he will be off to the highest top 8 bidder.
  23. Forgive me for being a late entry in this thread. From what I remember Jimbo was put in as Leader of the Ticket that quietly got rid of the Gardiner group. Jim, didn't want to lead unless he had someone to do all the back room stuff (which was his mate Don) Don did not want the Presidency, but when Jim passed away, he had no option than to stand up and continue the fight in Jims name. It was a no win situation for Don or the club. The time has well and truly come for a new President, someone who has the desire to lead, whether that be Freeman, time will tell. Personally I don't think we should put in an ex MFC player as a Figure head president, temporarily it may get a few supporters on board, but we need a strong President that knows his stuff but has passion for this club. Who that is I don't know.
