They replaced the Northern side stand JD but the old Southern side stand remains. It's a pity the oval/venue doesn't get the crowds it deserves...if that makes sense.

Without doubt it's one of the better suburban grounds Diamond. Wandered down a number of times and always good value around Mornington Peninsula League finals time.

I missed the first quarter Bleasey. Thought you were a little tough on JKH. Did Baker play well in the first quarter? I didn't think he did much.

Just came back from the game. One way traffic but a couple of observations. Oskar Baker made several poor decisions and this was a little disappointing. Needs to inject himself into the game a bit more. And get rid of that shite haircut. If you're playing badly don't bring attention to it. I made a point of watching his game and there's clearly potential but I left unconvinced about his footy smarts (this coming from someone who was a really dumb player) Jayden Hunt played ok but chip kicks aren't his go. Good voice out on the field. JKH is too smart a footballer for this level but is probably unlucky to be at Melbourne given our number of mids. Pedo was outstanding. Bugg has presence and, to his credit, he was very good today.

Who knew that you could put Mark Neeld's game plan on a plate.

The Curnow Brothers at the Tribunal

And would make ripper pre - match or half time entertainment. No doubt the Aus Kickers would love it. Yes, they'd have to run around the makeshift guillotine (there's a sponsorship opportunity in itself) but it's a visual deterrent they won't forget in a hurry. -

You have to wonder, don't you. It's got a touch of 'you haven't heard it from me but tell your lawyer to go down the careless route'. -

I was going to say that you couldn't make this shite up. But they actually are. -

Well, the precedent has been set. Good luck to them. -

Tommy Bugg would have been remanded in custody had it been him. -

Umpires around the country will be stoked with this ruling. Push an ump in the chest whilst looking away and Bob's your Uncle. -

If Eddie gets off it's a little farcical. -

Actually think both should go. You don't touch the umpire ever. Sends a very bad message to suburban leagues that already have large numbers of nuffies if they get off. -
Scapegoat. P155 poor tbh.

Good to see that Geelong players are still allowed to dispose of the footy any way they like.

Harrison Petty seems to be coming along nicely if today's reports are anything to go with. -
At the end of the day, he's not Dwayne Russell.

There's another option - give Viney another week. Why not? I'd rather err on the super cautious side.

Bit of a banana peel game today. Not sure it will be as easy as some are suggesting. And Clarry may need sunfactor 500

Agree with you DA. He is a dumb footballer. Physical talent but very low footy smarts. Parker was great last night.

Joel Wilkinson legal action - racism & sexual harassment
Return to Glory replied to SFebes's topic in General Discussion
Honestly SFebey, I'm desperate for someone to abuse me in the workplace. Anything will do; fat honky, middle aged, Melbourne supporter. Anything. You won't even know you've done it until the court summons appears. -

Lawyers just must love this. It's the gift that keeps on giving. -
Bit tough my friend. Yes, his commentary today was pretty poor. He has also watched his son go through the unimaginable and any father would want to stick up for his son given the circumstances. Irrelevant though? No. One of the best players I and many others saw through the late 80's and 90's. And coached at the highest level. I reckon he may know a bit more about the game than you and me.

I know he's taken on the whipping boy role (after Watts left) but amongst his stuff ups there were some signs that a turn around in form wasn't a million miles away. Rose coloured glasses my friends, you've gotta get a pair.

Got to admit, I've been a little pessimistic about Gus ever becoming a very good player for us. Looks like I could be wrong. Hope so. Today was a real step forward.
