Pressure should be mounting on the senior team with the imminent return of Lindsay, Lever, Tholstrup and Jefferson from the injury list. Good to see Sestan and Fullarton get a bit of form in the VFL. Laurie has been consistently one of Casey's best players over the last 2 years but had a down week and doesn't look to be an improvement in our midfield. I'd probably have him in the team over Sharp though. Wouldn't mind Jefferson straight back in but can see him and Tholstrup getting VFL time first.

Kozzie and Windsor in, Lever still a test. Lindsay will be given at least one, if not two weeks to recover. Committed to new game plan, largely backing in the players to respond. At the end of the presser when asked about Fritsch he hinted that some senior players may be dropped in the coming weeks if they don't find form.

The other part of this story is this will more than likely net them a 1st round compo pick which could see them holding 2 x top 5 picks. Might be a more attractive trading partner for Kozzie if freo get into gear and push into the 8. Presuming Jackson or any of their young stars are off the table.

It's refreshing to have a mid that can lower the eyes and hit targets while under pressure exiting stoppages. Just scratching the surface with his potential as he's incredibly good overhead as well. Langford, Lindsay, Windsor and Tholstrup is a damn good starting point for a midfield rebuild.

Should hopefully be this week's rising star.

I'm not aware of any rule changes that would make him unavailable for us.

Our 2025 NGA prospect picked up 22 disposals in Dandenongs win over Geelong in round 1. Not named in the bests however. Our 2026 prospect small forward Marcus Prasad had 16 disposals and a goal. For those still pining for Ah-mu, he kicked 1.1 from 11 disposals and 4 marks. Haven't watched the game myself but replays are available on the Coates Talent League app and sometimes will be on YouTube.

My weekend has improved dramatically.

Still works for me from last year however in the app settings it says it's not found in the play store anymore. There's another VFL app in the store by jp media. Not sure how legit it is.

Goody's post game presser he said they were hopeful of it not being too serious but would need scans to confirm. Fingers crossed for the young man.

I'd like to see Howes play a mix of wing and half forward where he impressed as a junior. Not cutting it as a defender. Viney has struggled with decision making and skills massively to start the year but they're not going to replace him with Laurie who is our only back up mid at this stage, though did play well at Casey today. Fritsch needs to get his confidence up at Casey, can't keep carrying him in the team though his intent at the contest was better today. T-mac unlucky but goody I would imagine wants his ideal 3-tall defenders together in May, Lever and Petty.

Langford a rare highlight. Good to see Bowey have some form. Otherwise not much to enthuse about today. Hope Lindsay doesn't have a serious knee injury. He's already best 22.

We'd be half a chance if the players didn't fumble and miss easy targets. Nearly all players look bereft of confidence and their basic decision making ability are impacted significantly.

Haven't been able to watch but sounds like an excellent start from Laurie, Adams, Fullarton, Yze and Woewodin going by the stats.

Sestan carry over emergency presumably?

Sestan added as an emergency. Seems to be musical chairs for the emergencies list. 3 weeks and 9 different emergency players. Edit: Perhaps a concerted effort to ensure players get full games rather than a half or miss out entirely for multiple weeks.
