I hear that Harley Reid kid is pretty good though.

Are the parmas any good?

Do we have a demonland predictions thread yet?
-
6 years! Can't believe I haven't noticed until now. Demonland was a darker place back then

Nice, @praha may want to think about charging soon because I want a custom profile picture as well now 😅

Best profile picture on demonland @AzzKikA

Went looking and if it's the same video I watched, shot off a smart phone, there wasn't a whole lot of vision but did have that impressive mark and also JvR slotting two set shots. The filmer, a well known demon fan, then states Schache was probably in the bests with 5 goals. Not sure if I'm allowed to link these sorts of videos but you can find it easily on YouTube.

No idea but certainly haven't seen much of Goodwin from a media perspective at all this preseason.

Cotchin has been getting away with this dirty stuff his whole career. Would be nice if people got suspended for deliberate malicious acts rather than incidental collisions and tackles.

Have liked the look of Ginbey. Sad seeing Hunt in Eagles colours but wish him nothing but the best.

That's how I would interpret her post. Coming up to a month now with no training. I'd imagine we won't be seeing him in the early parts of the season.

Always enjoy watching the blues get flogged.

As a tool to enhance entertainment and atmosphere it certainly has the opposite affect. There was nothing quite like the feeling you get at the 'G when the crowd noise exponentially rises at the first bounce. That has been largely killed off as we are forceable silenced with inane music and countdowns. I also wonder if it has some impact on the players mindset as well. The crowd is a powerful voice that can act as a 19th player. One moment that sticks in my mind is being at the ground for that great come from behind win against freo in 2008. It was only a paltry crowd, and I believe they even closed off the third level to keep costs down. We ended up chasing down a 50-odd point deficit after half time with the crowd going absolutely wild with each goal, as sadness and disappointment melted away to excitement and celebration. Each goal we piled on, the noise seem to go up a notch to almost sound like a full house. It felt like we willed the team onto victory that day while no doubt sowing seeds of pressure and doubt into the minds of freo players. I hope these moments aren't drowned out by artificial noise pollution.

Only practice matches but it's hard to see hawks, bombers and saints anywhere but bottom 4. One of North or GWS to fill out the last spot.

To be fair I don't think pm's were ever offered, just asked for.

Always love a good trade rumour thread. Post and discuss any rumours or speculation about potential player movements here. Like last year with Luke Jackson, let's keep this thread clear of any Kozzie speculation where there is already a dedicated thread. I'll kick things off with some speculation that Carlton is under salary cap pressure which is putting Tom De Konings future at risk with St Kilda and Essendon reportedly interested. "After locking in Harry McKay, Charlie Curnow, Patrick Cripps and Sam Walsh, the only real question is how to stave off the interest in ruck-forward Tom De Koning. The Bombers and Saints have reportedly been circling hard, and News Corp’s Jay Clark writes they are the strongest contenders to poach De Koning and add to their key position stocks." https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/carlton-salary-cap-squeeze-may-force-de-koning-out/news-story/50f7a2faadcc6e5c4a669f07ec54cdb6

“Never had a problem with my shoulder before. I played my first Big Bash game against the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba, and felt something go in my shoulder throwing," "I ended a year later having a major shoulder reconstruction, rehab for a whole year. Unfortunately, the first surgery didn’t work properly and I was out for a second season in a row. It was a really tough time, and the start to my shoulder problems. "I took a step back and was realistic – I was a right-handed fast bowler, and unfortunately I had so many shoulder surgeries I couldn’t throw properly any more. I had to sacrifice and put down that loss of cricket, which was really difficult for me. “I sort of made the decision to transfer from cricket to AFL. I was training with Melbourne for the first six months. The last session before Christmas, I went into a tackling drill and got tackled by one of the littlest blokes on Melbourne’s list and felt my shoulder kind of die. "I walked into the neurologist’s office – I could see in her face it wasn’t good. I could see in her face and the first thing she said to me was you’ve got 40 per-cent of a shoulder for the rest of your life, and you’ve to retire from cricket and AFL immediately." https://www.sportingnews.com/au/amp/afl/news/afl-2021-cricket-big-bash-league-victoria-melbourne-demons-guy-walker-retirement-injuries/1r4q0eheuw5is10usksqvw49g7

There's three certainties in life, death, taxes and...

Commentators referring to Kozzies out-of-contract status at least once every round until he re-signs. -
Signs are good early. As with all talls we will need patience for him to develop his game. However in his favour is the fact that he is already quite physically developed. Club site has him listed as 97kg and seeing him up close you could easily mistake him for a 3-4th year player due to his size.

You could very well be right. Think Phillipou is going to be a special player.

Riv can certainly roost a footy. What a goal.

Saints 6.10. 46 Dees 14. 9. 93 Edit: Grundy kicks a goal and it's now 46 vs 99

Love how JvR attacks the balls

Didn't cal twomey all but confirm it was Humphrey we were having a crack at? Regardless he looks a serious talent. Edit: just took another mark inside 50, protected the drop zone well and kept Petty out of it.

Wonder if tmac goes back. JvR on the ground now deep forward
