How many wins will see us play finals?
Nascent replied to leave it to deever's topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't fully trust St Kilda yet personally but they aren't without a chance. Port have a friendly draw so definitely can't rule them out. -

On the top 4. Fair chance it remains like it is now. Melbourne, Brisbane, Collingwood, Geelong -
GWS with 4 in a row to make the doggies sweat.

After the excitement of the game has worn off, this is pretty much where it sits for me. We aren't going to win easily every week and indeed we will lose maybe up to half a dozen more before the home and away season is done. Got to be happy with 4 points in a tough, contested game.

Certainly weren't as condemning of Chols swinging forearm into Bowey's jaw that's for sure.

The annoying thing is they'll bring in CJ and Bruest and ramp up the intensity to have good optics against good opposition. We'll still win, but it probably won't be easy. -

Don't give them too much percentage Hawks. -
I actually didn't mind Pettys game forward tonight. Presents well up the wing and blocks well for team-mates. Would like him to hit the scoreboard of course. Having said that, he's probably more valuable for us as a defender and think Brown has more forward craft and ability to draw free kicks. Time for us to have Brown forward and Petty as the third tall defender I think.

Goodbye pick 4, we barely knew thee. -
Anyway, take the 4 points on the road and be happy with no injuries. Conditions probably difficult to play in and lot of players looked out on their feet for the last quarter.
-
Two times we had 15seconds left in a quarter and gave them a look from a kick out. One of them they kicked a goal. Surely we can communicate how much time is left, find one short spot up kick and that ices 10 seconds and games over with a long kick down the boundary.

6. Levi Casboult We don't win without him.
-
Rivers fmd... jogging at half pace and gets his kick run down.
-
Geez they're really talking up a potential for it to he looked at.

Not enough players working hard hard enough and hitting the contest with intent. Gold Coast first to the loose ball on so many occasions. Most of our players can lift so expecting a response.
-
May looks a shadow of his former self. Getting out muscled in nearly every contest and looks very unsure with ball in hand.

I can't tell what's going on half the time with this camera work.

Petty utilising his defensive iq well to let Roo take that mark.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Nascent replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting to learn that Gold Coast have 3 potential first round kids coming through. If Jed Walter still tracks as a top 5 pick then they will surely move on their first pick and we will be right in the hunt for that. -
Teams always seem to drop around 5pm on Friday. Have no idea why this is the case.
