  1. Also suggested we would try the same with pick 11 but didn't highlight which pick or player we would be targeting there.
  2. ?? Has this been reported somewhere or do you have some mail?
  3. Apparently Adelaide are making a play for GWSs pick 7 to grab Curtin. Presumably with pick 10 and 14 or perhaps 10 and F1.
  4. More thinking Roos take Mckercher and Duursma at 2 and 3, then offer their future 1st for Curtin to either us, GWS etc...
  5. Kangaroos coach Alastair Clarkson has flown over to Perth to meet with the West Australian product and is believed to be “infatuated” with Curtin. “Alastair Clarkson, he has become a little infatuated with Dan Curtin I believe,” footy journalist Ryan Daniels said on Triple M. “There’s a lot of interest from North Melbourne. I think that’s where this is heading. Dan Curtin’s going to end up at North Melbourne.” More speculation though not sure I put much stock into it. If West Coast are offering a f1st for Curtin, could the roos maybe do the same?
  6. My read is that it's just to have more draft capital next year for a pick we likely won't use this year. Adelaide, Brisbane and Carlton all have f/s or academy prospects that they'll want to stockpile picks for. Gives us more room to trade up next year. Probably other clubs too.
  7. "If they don't, they could just use those picks or perhaps a third selection later, however pick 42 is set to be sent to St Kilda in a likely deal for a future third-round selection."
  8. Really unpredictable draft it seems. Our first pick has been linked to Windsor, Watson, Curtin and Sanders over the past 2-3 days alone.
  9. 1. WC - Reid 2. GC - Walter (bid matched) 3. Nth - McKercher 4. Nth - Curtin (first surprise) dees trade pick 7 and f1st with hawks for pick 5 5. Dees - Duursma 6. Wb - Sanders 7. Hawks - Watson 8. GC - Read (bid matched) 9. GWS - Windsor Adelaide trade 12 and 22 for Geelongs pick 10 and change 10. Ade - O'Sullivan 11. Ess - Caddy 12. Gee - Leake 13. Mel - Tholstrup

  11. It's been mentioned in a couple articles that Sydney and St Kilda have interest in Tholstrup who have picks 12 and 13. Moving from 14 to 11 makes sense in this setting if everything is taken on face value. Personally I think Windsor and Tholstrup will be our targets if we can't end up shifting up the board any higher, and I'm perfectly happy with that. We may still be making a play for Duursma/Watson with upgrading pick 6 and if we upgrade 11 then perhaps Caddy/Curtin or another will be in play there. Then there's a chance for another hail mary attempt for Reid and see if West Coast bites this time around.
  12. Cals phantom is dropping tomorrow instead of Sunday. No doubt there will be a late mail update Sunday night or Monday.
  13. Agreed. Edit: I don't think we can lose out this year with one of Curtin, Watson, Sanders or Caddy being available.
  14. There was an article yesterday stating we are unlikely to do a deal for West Coast's future 1st due to the risk of them rising next year with an injury free list. With 11 home games at Perth and a clean fit list, its definitely a gamble that we turn pick 6 into something significantly better a year later. They would need to sweeten the pot for us significantly, starting with pick 23 and no return of our future 1st. Perhaps our future 2nd. Even then I don't like it.
  15. Have seen 2 mock drafts that have him going to roos, but state he has a range of 2-6. Most likely wishful thinking, but if Roos opt for McKercher and Curtin, I wonder what the chances are he gets through Hawks and Dogs who like Watson and Sanders respectively. Or would we tempt the Hawks with 6 and a f1st (hopefully 18) for 4. That would then gaurantee us Duursma and Hawks still get their man in Watson.
  16. Hawthorn the risk of taking Curtin at 4. Bulldogs likely to take Sanders at 5. If Hawks go Curtin I wonder if we take Watson at 6 or go a different route.
  17. Can we get summary of the other clubs as well please?
  18. Names now attached to the picks for the Eagles. Reid Vs Curtin, Tholstrup, Future 1st.
  19. Couldn't see a thread for Curtin so thought I'd pop this highlights video here.
  20. Hawks apparently 50:50 on Curtin and Watson.
  21. Got mail or an educated guess?
