2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Indeed. That's why I highlighted Curtin and Watson as other candidates for their pick. -
I'd be happy with a bounce to start every quarter then thrown up at all other times.

Haha, that's poor on my behalf. -
MFC game 100 this weekend I believe. Been fantastic for the club. Any special banner planned @WalkingCivilWar? Edit: he just recently had his 150th afl game, can't remember if he got a banner then. Don't want him to get too much or an ego.

Absolutely a fair call. So much is going to come down to what West Coast do with pick 1 as well. -

If West Coast take Reid then North will have to think long and hard about Curtain. If they believe he's not a flight risk then he's a must for their list profile in my view. If North can pre-list Sanders then they may go McKercher to try and keep mates together and avoid a pull to the new Tassie team. Think Watson would also suit them in the front half. They start becoming dangerous down there with Larkey, Zuurhar and a predicted moved of Sheezel to the attacking 50 next near where he excelled as a junior. -

If Duursma keeps kicking 6 goals a game for the rest of the year he may end up a top 3 pick. I'll be happy with any of Curtin, Watson, Duursma or McKercher assuming we don't get a look in at Reid. I'm curious to see what we do with our natural first rounder. We will have hot competition for GCs pick, but can see perhaps GWS, Geelong or Carlton splitting their first rounders for multiple picks as well. -

That's definitely an option and we've shown we're not afraid to slide back in the draft previously. All depends how JT and co see the draft pool. From what I've read and listened to, this draft has a bit of a drop off after the first 6-8 players (GCs Walter and Read included). Makes me think we'll take pick 4 or 5 to the draft and perhaps try and upgrade our next pick or even invest in next year's draft. Another factor is how many players we will take with list spot availability, wouldn't surprise if we only took 2 kids and upgrade D Turner. -

Reid I agree is unlikely but not sure you can be definitive about any other player. We will most likely be selecting one of Duursma, Curtain, Watson or McKercher. Sanders may be in the mix as well if North don't get him pre-listed. Who knows if someone will bolt into top 5 contention like Oliver or Bont. Seems reasonable to discuss prospects around the mark. -
Sad to read that he ruptured his Achilles on the weekend and will be out for up to 12 months. Potentially career ending.

McKercher Highlights -
There would be a revolt if North got band 1 compo and access to Sanders. I would presume one or the other, or perhaps more picks that must be traded. Larkey seems to be a masochist, I'd set my sights on wardlaw.
-
If they get the compensation they want for McKay then perhaps they take Reid and Curtain at 1 and 2 should West Coast somehow steal a game.
-
Well we couldn't have played much worse, particularly in that first quarter, and we're only 4 points down. Pressure still nowhere near the standard it needs to be and the amount of fumbles is concerning. Is it wet down there? I've respected the way Harmes has fought to carve out a career but his time is up for us. Soem players need to figure out they're playing for a spot in our best 22 come finals. Oliver and Fritsch are automatic ins.

Logged out and back in, as well as completely restarting on two different devices and still says starting soon. Cant believe they charge $25 per month for this [censored]

My plan A would be worst performing mid out, rivers to midfield, hibberd back.
-
Their game plan is essentially give it to Nick and run. So yep! Hope they fall apart.
-
He's good enough, but he might want more opportunities elsewhere. Contracted for next year so hope he sticks around.
-
North may have a pick 1, 2 combo in their minds after watching an improved Eagles performance. A wooden spoon strengthens their compensation bid. Call me a pessimist.
-
I'd rather they finish top. They would need to lose at least 2 out of their 3 remaining games and they play both Brisbane and Geelong. Top 2 guarantees home finals throughout the whole series and is not different to pole position apart from bragging rights. Edit: as you pointed out on another thread, travel is still possible if the interstate teams win both qualifying finals.

Port have lost 4 in a row! 2nd spot could be ours tomorrow afternoon with a commanding win.
-
Fairly certain Stanley is a double agent
-
Did you guys know that Gryan Miers is the assist king?
-
Pies have also dropped 5%
-
Getting down to the business end of the season. Pies have now lost 2 on the trot, port 3.. and Lions have only won 1 of their past 3 games. We've won our past 4.
