Must have a listen to some of Joss Stone's music . I've made a note ! Here's a track from Steely Dan ( probably my all time favourite band / Duo ). Their songs are a mix of jazz/funk/rock and in all reality they have their own genre . Was going to post it on "Nuggets music videos" ( 3rd person!?) but it may be more suited on this thread . Btw , post anything you like video or no video . Lots of great rock doesn't have a music video . As I said , it's just a hook . And I agree with you that it's the music that really counts but as a means to an end .................... So far the thread has been angst free . Yeah , with regards to the Stones , I was never a huge fan but did like quite a number of their songs . But after discovering "Exile on Main St" ( 1972 ) and "Sticky Fingers" ( their 1971 album ) my opinion has changed a lot . Stones at their best - earthy , great driving rock n roll . And I reckon it stands up more than well . Their use of a fair bit of brass was in some ways quite unique . I now have a way more open mind to all sorts of rock ( and jazz of course ) whereas quite a few people I know have gone the other way . It's all about embracing the new ( within reason ) and retro IMO . I'd like to explore a few more bands from the 60's and 70's . More your classic bands such as The Who . Moody Blues , Led Zeppelin , Deep Purple and the like . I know a lot of their hits buts it's their other stuff I'd like to explore . Btw , I'm right into the Stone Temple Pilots thanks to your good self . Cheers JJ

Wow ! What a finish ! Giants do it again . Eli 2 Peyton 1 . Great finish , tense as . That sidelines catch by Manningham will go down in folklore ( and a great throw by Manning ) Fantastic contest . You make a good point Dappa , but I was more talking about disappointment levels . You're annoyed about your teams performance but in time you might totally forget about this season . But us Packer fans may have some real regrets about this year especially if we don't make up for it in the next few years . It's a bit like Patriot fans now . If they lose another Superbowl to the Giants they'll be devastated . Yeah , the Packers had a much better year than the Eagles but to go straight out and play as poorly as we did in 1 playoff game is a bitter pill to swallow . I spent all season waiting for the playoffs cos I "knew" we'd make them and then ...............bang , straight out . You've gotta win a final otherwise it's a totally wasted season .
