Working today but I listened in "We're going to have to bowl them out for not much more than 220" Covered that spread alright! All out for 36 is hard to fathom. And now Kohli goes home ... hard to see India winning a Test from here on in but any prediction needs to be taken with a grain of salt! Their bowling is very good but our attack is absolutely first rate And we shade them in the batting playing on our home decks Warner is still doubtful for Melbourne but what about Pukovski? Wade? Has Burns done enough in this 2nd innings to hold his spot? A six to win the match!

Advantage India after 2 completed innings ... batting 2nd the Aussies probably needed a lead of 80 to push for victory But we're 53 runs behind. We're going to have bowl India out for not much more than 220 in their 2nd innings to stand a chance Chasing anything above 300 against their attack (on a wearing wicket) is a big ask in my view

Time will tell And best of luck to Burns ... he's been given a lifeline and hopefully will take advantage Anyway, if his selection doesn't work it's on the selectors, not Burns himself Big ask for Wade to open against the India attack (especially under lights) ... wish him well also

The Browns/Ravens game was an absolute beauty. Highlights aplenty! The Browns lost no friends and they will be more than nuisance value if they figure in the playoffs Meanwhile the Rams & Packers are likely to meet in the playoffs unless 1 or both teams get knocked out early Not sure what to make of the bye ... the Packers need continuity but maybe they don't? We should win out but the Titans game is tricky. Bears in week 17 might not be relevant

Checked out the stats on that game and Diamond Jim kicked 6 goals as well Wells had 45 possessions ... he could rack 'em up. Genuine topliner Lost 10 of our last 11 games after hitting the half way mark at 6 & 5 ... yep, the use of the word 'ugh' goes way back

Saints match was the trap game ... still, GtB got the points (point) and if the Steelers win, DZ as well Washington now lead the NFC East with a 6 & 7 record. No guarantee that they will win another game though!

Ha! This is the domain of the over 55's isn't it? Couldn't remember any of their songs (Bobby & Laurie) but the Carroll County Accident was definitely a hit and they were very popular back then of course Let's hope that Bowey & Laurie (and Rosman) become equally as popular amongst Demon supporters ds

The Monkees haven't been seen here on this thread but as popular as they were back in the day they were also underrated ... the following 2 songs were hugely popular here in Oz in the late 60's but Davey Jones doesn't feature on lead vocals in either song And I'm not sure that 'Mary Mary' was ever released as a single outside of Australia but the words to the song were rather risque by today's standards!

New addition for the post-season tipping comp (assuming we get enough starters) Working on the premise that we continue to post scorelines (as we've traditionally done) we could make the most of those scorelines Week 1 ... 1 point per win plus a bonus point if your margin of victory falls within the actual margin. i.e. 1-6, 7-12, or over 12 Week 2 ... 1 point per win plus a bonus point using the same margin criteria as week 1 Week 3 ... 3 points per win plus 3 bonus points for the correct margin criteria Super Bowl ... 5 points for the win plus 5 bonus points for the correct margin (1-6, 7-12 etc) We can just continue to post up the scorelines as we've done previously and I can work out the rest of it (with the possible aid of a proof-reader!) All feedback is most welcome but a tipping system where interest is maintained throughout is the ideal outcome n.b ... the margin of victory would need to fall into the 1-6, 7-12 or over 12 margin to qualify for the bonus point (or points)

And with the playoff format having changed this season we will see 6 playoff games in week 1 of the playoffs Only the 1 seed in each conference gets the bye ... currently the Steelers (11 & 1) over the Chiefs (11 & 1) in the AFC and the Saints (10 & 2) in the NFC. The Saints are one win ahead of the Packers but the Packers hold the tie-break advantage if the Saints slip up So in week 1 of the playoffs there may well be 3 games on the Sunday (AEDT) with another 3 games on the Monday (AEDT) ... it could be assumed that 7Mate will cover all the playoff games but is that confirmed?
