  2. Virtually over the line in Michigan with only Nevada to clinch the win. And Biden is coming home with a wet sail in Pennsylvania. North Carolina & Georgia can't be ruled out either. The postal votes are running at 78% in the Democrats favour in some of the undecided States The betting agencies have Biden at $1.19 with Trump at $4.50. Not that I'm encouraging gambling but the betting agencies are nearly always on the money.
  3. The gap is now down to 12k in Michigan with 90% of the votes counted. Biden leads by 21k in Wisconsin with 95% of the votes counted Biden is hunting Trump down! It's a barnburner!
  4. That's a 150k catch-up in quick time. Same thing happened in Wisconsin. It looks a bit dodgy but not if blocks of votes for one candidate are put aside for a final check Nevada is tightening up at the same time though ... less than an 8000 lead to Biden with only 67% of votes counted in that State.
  5. No chance dp ... the workings of the MFC is an even greater mystery than the US electoral voting system! Just when you think we're up and running we fall into a huge chasm again As always, with regards to the Demons, we live in pure hope!
  6. Yeah I'm watching it right now Jara but they are both 'barracking' a tad! Could be wrong I intimated earlier this arvo on this thread that blocks of votes for 1 candidate can be put aside to be re-checked and then soon after added to the total That might explain Biden bridging a 100k gap in Wisconsin in quick time If more of that sort of thing happens Biden might just get up. The counting of the votes and when those votes are counted in is a bit of a mystery. CBS Radio mentioned the above a number of times today. It ain't over yet but we'll find out at daybreak here you'd imagine. Or maybe it could drag on for days
  7. Has not the State of Maine been settled? Yep but Biden is over 200k behind in Michigan with 82% of the vote counted. He'd need to get a move on But Biden bridged a 100k deficit in Wisconsin in quick time. Hasn't won there yet but 95% of the vote has been counted in Wisconsin
  8. Biden has hit the front in Wisconsin! (and now only 77,000 behind in North Carolina) If Biden wins Nevada, North Carolina & Wisconsin he'd be sitting on 269 Electoral College Votes - 1 vote short of victory. He would need another State to win outright Click on this site for an updated vote count for the 6 States that are still undecided (n.b the vote count updates whilst the site is open - scroll down for the Swing States)
  9. A case could be made for Trump winning all the remaining 6 States not decided. But there again, he might only win 3 or 4. But that might be enough He is leading in 5 of the States (Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina & Pennsylvania) but trails in Nevada I'd be giving Trump Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes) as he leads there by 675,000 and has 55% of the vote but all the other seats sees a gap of 110k or less. And all up (in all the States) there are 20 Million votes to be counted. The scoreline right now is Biden 238 Trump 213 If someone gave me 1000 bucks to bet with I'd put in on Trump.
  10. Weren't the Democrats originally pro slavery? Is that what you are talking about? You are left wing Dieter. No point denying it. And rusted on lefties in Oz are often all-in with the Democrats in the USA Condemning all Americans is a bit rich just because it looks like Trump might win Their Country is a mess especially due to Covid but so are many of the European Nations.
  11. I will have a good life thank you very much. I worry about you though ... constantly outraged about stuff you can't control. Why do you even bother? Anyway, it looks like you might have to put up with Trump for another 4 years so you're better off coming to terms with it all I have already. The world isn't coming to an end. One just has to find a way to avoid him. But I'd be avoiding Biden as well if he somehow wins
  12. What? All Americans or just the ones that voted for Trump? Hissy fit time because you can see another loss coming up? If Trump wins again your brethren (the left) have to take a lot of the blame. But you can't critique your own team can you? It's always someone else's fault. You remind me of a lot of Melbourne supporters. Oh hang on, we're on MFC fan site. haha
  13. The Germans effectively declared war on the rest of the world through their killing ways & super-aggressive actions What, did they not expect a bit of pushback? Impossible to defend in all reality. While we're at it, let's deny the holocaust And I prefer to use the word Germans (not Nazi's) purposely much like most do when describing the super-aggressive Japanese at that time And it's just as well the Brits & Yanks were around at that time otherwise not many of us would even exist. And please, don't give us another Churchill rant as we've read all that mindless stuff beforehand as well
  14. But it's not a nightmare for a large percentage of people DJ. I see him as an annoying person that gets in my face when I'm trying to avoid him. Nearly every news bulletin, the web, TV ... he just dominates and you can't escape it. It is certainly a cliff-hanger but Trump is slightly favoured right now. But the confusing bit are the early votes (favouring the Democrats) verses the voting on the day (favouring the Republicans) and when and how those votes were/are counted in the still undecided States.
  15. I wouldn't deny any of that though. Numerous Nations at various times throughout history have ram-rodded their way through for their own benefit. It's happened in Australia for centuries. Still goes on But I'm not going to feel guilty about it ... wasn't my doing. But it does and has happened. See my view as an acknowledgement rather than taking sides. You are obviously used to arguing with people who have some sort of bias but not me I'm a brutally honest person who never leaves anything out ... good or bad. I have previously mentioned that I detest the alt-right & the loonie-left equally How many people do you know that hold that belief? Here's the issue ... The left that aren't loonies won't acknowledge the loonie left and the right who aren't alt-right deny that the alt-right exists. So the idiotic to and fro argument goes on relentlessly without any end in sight. It's all rather pointless if you know how to live your life devoid of interference.
  16. Are you being serious? So because of the Versailles treaty that justified Germany later on declaring war on the rest of the World 90 million lives later and you want to justify it all? As previously stated, millions of ordinary Germans were all in with Adolf
  17. I'm not nearly as outraged dieter I've long held a strong cynicism to all sorts of subject matter. What the numbers highlight is that in a general sense, there are 2 types of people in this World. And I'm not sure I like either camp as both sides end up buying into policy that they don't necesarily believe in As an example it can't be true that all those on the left are pro-choice with all those on the right being pro-life. But people pick a side, they buy in and won't give an inch. Which to my way of thinking is a nonsense And 33% voting for Hitler is an obscene amount of people voting for a narrow-minded, war-mongering pure racist who ended up being responsible for 10's of millions dying in a needless manner. Ordinary Germans voted for Hitler yet many prefer to call those Germans 'Nazi's as an out. Oddly enough the same view wasn't held towards the Japanese. Looks are important (Racism/Asians) The lack of consistency remains quite stark And to digress for a moment, it's been said that people won't wear masks because the wearing of masks is seen as an 'Asian' thing. As for the election, it looks like it's coming down to the rust-belt States and we might not find out for a day or 2.
  18. Texas being close is quite telling as well ... even though Trump will probably win that State I'm listening live on 'CBS News Radio' via tunein but they don't call the verdict on any of the States unless they're absolutely sure So thanks for the updates as you're ahead of me ... keep 'em coming if you can
  19. I can only do audio tomorrow but are the ABC or any of the commercial radio networks covering the US election tomorrow? Someone else might know or perhaps if anyone has the time they can post up the 'Scoreline' here on this thread from time to time! I remain totally fascinated by this whole election but I'd be nowhere near as interested but for Trump. I just can't look away. And I'm a neutral! Oddly enough, the left can't look away either. His 'appeal' comes from all directions
  20. Crikey! Well I did take you at your word ... just imagine if I didn't! Good on ya P2J but I'd be lying if I wished you all the best with your bets. Not because of any other reason other than I couldn't deal with another 4 years of Trump. But that's just me Anyway, if you do win you've done very well. Close on an $18k return is good punting (if Trump salutes)
  21. You make a lot of sensible points HT but I remember you stating 4 years ago that there was large percentage of Americans who are into celebrity status. So they think differently ... not the Trump fans here in Oz, they are just rusted on conservatives. But the tens of millions of Americans who adore Trump. And that's part of Trump's appeal. At the last election I was taken by surprise by the sheer amount of Americans who actually voted for Trump. But lesson learned Don't forget that Trump represents at least 43% of the electorate. That's a lot of people and I find that number to be far more alarming than the bloke that they are voting for. Those people are sending us a message whether we like the message or not. It's not even about policy but that's what the Democrats needed to concentrate on. They are playing into Trump's hand by playing against Trump. To him it's like a TV show and ratings. And like it or not, he's good at that stuff He plays to his audience like no other And that's why he might just win again Lord help us! ?
  22. But what we now know HT is that a lot of people don't or won't admit to voting for Trump And that's a new thing in some ways but maybe that sort of factor has always been a thing And if the 'Shy' Trump voters are a substantial number then it stands to reason that the Trump voters understand their own brethren Does that make sense? So indeed, P2J's call may not be outrageous at all. In fact, I'm inclined to believe P2J if there is an understanding that Trump voters aren't necessarily transparent with their intentions A comparison might be in regards to racism and the hidden racism that exists. I mean, how many people actually admit to being racist as compared to how many racists actually exist? For goodness sakes, extreme racists put hoods over their heads to disguise themselves. I believe because of the above Trump can win but I truly hope he doesn't win. But I'm also not impressed at all by the Democrats or Biden Whatever the outcome the USA will still be a mess
  23. Fair enough, good comeback and I will take you on your word Anyway, if the bookies lose out big time that'll sting. A bit like the following ...
  24. Well, put your money where your mouth is A substantial wager to back up your claim is required if you want people to take you seriously Maybe $500 or $1000 and provide the proof
  25. In the last election Trump claimed victory at 2.30am (ET) which is 6.30pm AEST (on a Wednesday of course) Could be earlier this time or it could be later if a State or 3 needs a recount. Which is what could happen. With such a large lead the pollsters would normally be advocating a Biden victory but they're not so confident this time The rust-belt States & Swing States weren't talked about nearly enough last time but this time it's all we've heard about. For good reason. On a side note, a number of the large Oz bookmaking firms stand to lose a small fortune if Trump gets up and wins. They are holding 10's of millions of dollars on the outcome. That's in Australia, believe it or not. Bets of $50,000 on Trump at about $2.80 or $3.00 have been quite commonplace. Copy & paste the following to google for the story ... 'Australian Bookies stand to lose staggering amount if Trump wins' There won't be much sympathy if the bookies lose big but a guaranteed mountain of laughs will probably occur (in true Aussie style)
