  1. Surely when they sh7t themselves in the last quarter it will be kitty litter.
  2. Bowey - new record created
  3. I seem to recall the chapter in Robbie's book dealing with 1978, there a sentence that says some like "the least said about this year the better". Someone might like to enlighten me further however.
  4. Great post CBF. BTW . . . I'm still hung up about the Dennis Jones regime Mate!
  5. I actually follow Norf pretty closely (for a Deez guy). You are right on one thing mo64, there is some talent down at Arden Street. Disagree that Noble's not the guy or that he's lost the playing group though. Norf are where they are due to decisions made under Brayshaw, who's a complete &^%$, at the end of the Scott regime. Shaw was their Neeld . . . God bless his heart. Noble's been left cleaning up the rubble. And FWIW, IMHO . . . I'd suggest Norf's list is in a lot better shape long term than Wet Coast's or Essendscum,
  6. Respectful, insightful and excellent analysis in this thread. Thanks everyone.
  7. Let's face it SWYL, no one except Robbie Grey plays consistently at Port.
  8. Lloyd . . . the greatest revisionist and 'retrospect-o-scope' specialist in footy. No idea on Friday, truly Monday's expert. Ross "you can't coach from the boundary line and win premierships" Lyon. He's got a lot to answer for IMHO. Fancy letting the Filth in for a premiership. FMD. Here's what will work in stopping Melb . . . . . . Put Wayne Gretzky on Trackta, Move Kareem Abdul-Jabbar onto Max, Get George Best to run with Clarry, Tell Amelia Earhart to fly with Kossi, and Send Peter Hudson to May. That should reduce those 17 goal run-ons to 12.
  9. That was Wayne Carey.
  10. Replace is not the same as replicate.
  11. There were errors on both sides . . . neither covered themselves in glory. However . . . I do care about the MFC and Shane. Regardless, he is MFC family. One of us. And for anyone that's been fortunate to meet him, he's a true Dee and a top bloke to boot.
  12. If he does, that will clearly give Mitchell the edge! Never worked for Goody.
  13. A class action brewing maybe?
  14. I once played in an under 16 game and the opening bowler drove himself to the match. I kid you not.
  15. I'd probably have Cooper Cronk shadowed by Tracker and Billy Slater by May and Lever. Backing Bellamy and Goodwin to coach each other to a nil all draw.
  16. 100 percent this. Bowling fast and accurately at first class level is much harder than kicking a goal at AFL level from 35 metres out on a 35 degree angle. Yet most first class, and certainly test level, fast bowlers (except English ones) can hit a folded handkerchief from 22 yards with their chest 90 degrees on. That goal kicking 'is difficult' is one of the great lies told by aussie rules players to other aussie rules players.
  17. I met Clyde at a GF breakfast about seven years ago. What a guy. Had an hours chat with him. Was still fit and going to see the Deez play regularly. Loves Brasso, very humble and absolutely believed the Deez could dominate the competition once again. A blue-ribbon true believer. Walked away from the chat loving the Deez even more.
  18. It's a trade-off isn't it? Dennis must have been earning a fortune to sit and listen to that moron all day.
  19. Thanks for the PTSD re-trigger Radar.
  20. Is that the one where the commentator repeatedly refers to Fritsch as 'Fritz'?
  21. Happy seven month anniversary everyone.
