Furphy Melbourne Premiers Cases of Beer
There’s a flashback for me OSH, never a more appropriate name for a beer. Horrible stuff got a pint of it once OD and couldn’t finish it

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Busslinger is a very good player
-
Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
He’s rated extremely high, easy to see why good size who plays through the middle and is a good user of the ball, which isn’t common for a player of his size. He has strength in congestion and can hit the scoreboard. He’s going in the first dozen picks for mine and the only thing I see him not going to Freo is they IMO will take Erasmus and possibly Amiss with 6 and 8. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if they took Johnson and Erasmus and backed Van Rooyen or Jack Williams to be available with their 3rd pick

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I watched Arthur play PSA this season very exciting footballer with great acceleration. His parents are nice people and really supportive of him, and IMO they have produced a very rounded young man. He’s a fantastic kid, who is a leader at Wesley College and a mentor to the indigenous boys at the school. They run a fantastic programme at the school for the indigenous boys. Comes from Mt Barker (Jimmy and Phil Krakouer’s hometown) and will be a good get for some club as he’s got a lot to give a club not just infield

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Not sure really, putting it down to the talk for the last few years leading into this draft, that it was very much a midfielders draft, there’s a lot of risk with the KPT from WA, I don’t see a McDonald or a Grainger Barrass in the WA crop this year, but there’s still some potential high rewards for taking risks. With Jye Amiss, he is very raw and only came up from the country this year, so doesn’t have a lot of exposed form up until this season. Did he kick bags because he’s bigger than his opponent and how will he go against stronger opponents at the next level, he’s high risk, but he does convert. I really like Van Rooyen, he’s played a lot of school footy this year and started the season really well at Colts level, but once PSA started he dropped off the experts radar a bit, but don’t think that would have impacted recruiters thoughts on him. He’s not super tall but that adds IMO to his tools as he can play forward, back and be given short stints on the ball. I reckon whoever drafts him will develop him as a defender first Bazzo good lock down key defender who just does his job, Dylan Grimes type no X factor but reliable and whilst not high up the boards someone’s getting a 200 game player. Cripps and Sprigg are the 2 ruckman who are late developers, which is why they are not high on the boards, Cripps had an injury riddled 2020 and Sprigg really shot up late 2020

He can hold down key position either end of the ground

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Short memories and many usual suspects

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Would love Cory Warner to fall to us, Arthur Jones indigenous HFF with good work ethic and eye for goal also one to consider as I’m not sure Bedford will make it. Riley Sprigg a late pick potential rookie with plenty of time to develop. Decent ruckman who needs to build a tank but the tools are there. These are all obviously WA boys

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Did you applaud the commitment of the two NSW truck drivers, because it’s the same thing. They didn’t believe they had it either. It’s ironic that a Restauranter is involved considering how hard it the hospitality industry has been Anyway I’ll agree to differ because I’m not getting into post after post on this as it should be all about us breaking the drought

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
And this is how Covid spreads, and what puts jobs at risk. People who think the laws don’t apply to them. Whilst it appears they weren’t positive they have put themselves before everyone else. If either of you two Burbank and Babbage are Deelanders, seriously have a good look at yourselves. Absolute flogs

Farewell Aaron vandenBerg
Thanks Vanders, gave us some toughness when it was needed. Good luck in whatever the future holds
-
Farewell Neville Jetta
Absolutely love Jetts as a player, between 2016 and 2018 possibly the best one on one defenders going around. Should have been an All Australian at least once. Loved by the indigenous boys and a real mentor. Really hope we keep him on board in some capacity

Gary Ayres Player of the Finals
I think it’s insignificant Trac has 2 medals from 2021 McRae would love
-
Number 2
Nothing, but whilst they may wish to pave their own path, outside of # 31 I think 2 and 11 hold great significance for the club. Flower and Jones were shining lights in very dark times for our club
-
Number 2
I’d like to see Tom Sparrow get it

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I was in shock for the last 35 mins, covering the last bit of the 3rd and the 4th quarter. I guess I never knew what it be like to win one and it must have been years of scarring but I didn’t think we’d actually won it till we went 50 odd points up( might have been Frittas 5th) Id always expected tears on the realisation I would see it, but I didn’t. Two friends of Krystal Petrevski were sitting in front of me and we were high fiving every goal. They told me they were new supporters because of Krystal, they both had her #31 on and during the game I explained the significance of the number to Demon supporters b When the siren went and I started to sing the song that’s when the emotion hit and the tears flowed, one of the girls turned to high five me and it was like an acknowledgment of ‘ this is what it means to be a long suffering supporter” she just said congratulations mate you look like you earned this, you enjoy it. It was a great moment

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
That’s Bevo mate, he had backs against the wall theme all throughout the finals and it served them pretty well. I don’t feel sorry for any supporters, I empathise with many after what we’ve been through. Our supporters are and have always been a class act. Let’s be powerful, humble and stay classy

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
It’s the difference between them and us. I want to be hated because we have the best team going around not because our supporters start behaving like some of the other teams supporters. Let the team do our talking
