  1. Very good performance all round. Dont worry about stats both Brown and Viney were vital. Pressure was back where it needs to be across the board and the 1%ers were back. Loved our defensive pressure from the inside 50 tackles to the set up as soon as we turned it over
  2. And Brissy at Giants stadium
  3. No one really, maybe not in those words but review all the posts across team selection for last few weeks and the changes thread vs Port We need a tall target to bring the ball to ground for our crumbed We need to bring in a proven 60 goal a year forward who will provide us an contest and aerial target He does neither of those things and never has, he’s a great lead up forward with the ball out in front of him . He runs in straight lines direct to the ball and does it well. If he doesn’t get the ball delivered to him that’s not always an issue because his patterns still provides a lane for another forward to run to. But that is his strength and he generally kicks accurately. Outside of that he lacks strength and is very easy to knock off the ball in a 1 v 1 contests. I don’t mind him coming in for something different but he’s not going to increase the amount of ground balls we win if he doesn’t mark it, the ball is coming straight back out. Yes he will improve our conversion, but he also brings flaws, like most players
  4. Pretty much nailed it in regard to the the issues on the weekend and somewhat our last 3 games. Well beaten by the Pies and Giants out of the middle. what I find astounding is the myth people have about Ben Brown being some pack crashing contested marking beast. I do think he’s still worth a look if they’ve built his tank enough to make multiple repeat leads into the channels which Tmac created by leading hard up the ground
  5. I don't mind bringing Ben Brown in, but FCS can posters drop the myth that he is a contested forward who brings the ball to ground. He lacks strength in the contest and is easily moved off the ball. What he does give you is a lead up target who is very hard to counter with his long reach when the ball is coming in at eye height. Could see moments yesterday when Tmac lead very hard up the ground and opened several leading channels inside forward 50. Recall watching and thinking to myself I think Ben Brown thrive in that set up. But teams will also counter it by failing to follow Tmac up the ground
  6. 6. Salem 5. May 4. Tmac 3. Gawn 2. Lever 1. Trac
  7. Sorry Max was at the back of the goal square with a smaller opponent guarding the top of the square and a lead. The quick high ball to the advantage of Max was ridiculously obvious but Hunt just kept running
  8. We used 2 of them in 2019
  9. Understanding team defence isn’t really your thing is it. If you wish to look at stats, have a look at our marks and shots inside 50 last week. The issue was conversion not structure
  10. Yes I know, but if they lose it makes it very hard for them. We must be ready to go first bounce, no letting them get their tails up. Strangle them from the start, run hard, make good decisions and take our chances
  11. Need to be on for this game, Giants season is absolutely on the line
  12. No side with Green, Ward, Hopper, Davis, Greene, Reid and Mummy will be intimidated. They are a hard nose side, their weakness last week was their lack of run with Whitfield the exception
  13. After watching GWS today and how much trouble they had with talks and also their lack of run would probably result in it being a good time to bring BB in
  14. Don't go there, I understand why but makes you like them. He's been ok today, clearly working hard just hasn't impacted like he/we would like
  15. 6.May 5.Lever 4.Salem 3.Langdon 2. Brayshaw 1.Trac
  16. Hopefully never, and that isn’t meant as a slight on Majak, more to the point he is insurance. If he doesn’t play I hope it means we are healthy and firing in the ruck and forward structure
  17. Max was made look very ordinary by young Lynch against Collingwood in the first half and he needs to get back to early season form, because Draper is hard at it and will bang into him for 4 quarters. He’s no mug and IMO along with Darcy at Freo going to be one of the top ruckman in a few years
  18. Viney will not play as if he’s underdone, ultimate professional
  19. Yes my bad one of those double ups should be Viney
  20. Go back to the mobile fwd line, keep the pressure up and create turnovers and scores like earlier in the season. Out: Weid, Sparrow In: Viney, Melksham B: Lever Petty Hibberd HB: Hunt. May Salem C. Langdon Oliver Brayshaw HF. Pickett. Tmac. Nibbler F. Spargo. Jackson Fritsch R. Gawn, Trac, Oliver I/C Jordon, Harmes, Rivers, Melksham Sub: Sparrow/Chandler
  21. It’s not just trolls it’s unrealistic supporters who expect us to go undefeated through the season, the same people who are irrational on game day threads and feel the sky is falling. They have written off Goodwin, Spargo, Kossie, Nibbler, Tmac, May, Viney, Lever, Jason Taylor and still not put their hands up. For these posters when we win it’s all down to Choco and Yze but Monday was all down to Goodwin
  22. Kossie set shots aren’t great either, Oliver will be resting there as opposed to resting on the pine and the reason is Provides ability to win the ground balls and increase defensive pressure which has dropped off since we went with the extra tall Very difficult to match up on and will take a decent medium defender as nobody is going to leave him unattended his clearance/stoppage ability will provide scoring opportunities for himself and/or teammates
  23. 6. Jackson 5. Jordon 4. Salem 3. Lever 2. Gawn 1. Langdon
  24. Neither of BB or Weid, 2 x KP Talls Tmac and Jackson/Gawn 1 x Medium Tall Fritsch 3 x smalls rotating through Pickett, Nibbler, Spargo, Viney Trac or Oliver can have stints forward to
  25. Around 2000 I think it became locked in
