PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Maybe he should just boot a mongrel along the ground as hard as he can. At least there’s a 50/50 chance we get it. Better than the odds he’s providing us by doing what he’s doing now.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
We look so unorganised compared to other teams. Like it’s some sort of freelance attack plan. Other than kicking to leads as close to the boundary line as possible, everything seems made up on the spot.

The Neal-Bullen non goal
I’ve seen plenty of marks paid that are a lot more obviously touched than this. Add it to the ‘why is it always us’ list.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
This is Cripps 2.0 How did that work out for Carlton? I have faith in karma. Collingwood to lose the prelim

Maynard must get at least four weeks
I need to just say that I am not a biomechanist but I do have fully functioning eyes and a brain. Maynard’s left - right take off actually puts him MORE in line with Brayshaw. If Angus maintained his line he would have gone straight into Maynard’s shoulder. Rocking to the right actually put him in line with Maynard’s chest. Until Maynard turned his shoulder in to where his chest was. Am I missing something?

PREGAME: SF vs Carlton
If only Petracca’s kick at the end of the Carlton game hadn’t been touched. I know I should be over it by now but OMG. We would be hosting Bris at the mcg tonight. Port would have had Collingwood Thursday, Carlton would have had st kilda and Sydney v GWS would have been a cracker. Sliding doors moment.

Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
I know most people don't rate him as a goal kicker, but a player similar to Casboult would be great. I'm not saying Casboult himself (clearly past it), but someone who either clunks it or spreads a pack. Guy had really strong hands and a body big enough to bring the ball (and a few defenders) to ground. This is, of course, assuming our strategy will continue to be what it is now.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
I've been caught in the air plenty of times in sport. If you're going to land on someone and there's a risk of injury, you 'catch' them with your hands as you come into contact to reduce the impact. It's not hard. Was a footy act until he turned his body when the ball went passed. Then it became careless, high and severe. Unfortunately, I've had to endure an entire morning of listening to Collingwood supporters aggressively going on and on about how there was NOTHING Maynard could have done to avoid what happened. One even claimed it's not his fault that Brayshaw has concussion history and if it was anyone else they would have just gotten up and played on. Claims that Maynard is the victim here. Hope I get through the day without going Walter Subcek at work.

POSTGAME: QF vs Collingwood
Seemed to me that we had a team that was very wary of Collingwood's ability to intercept in the back 50 and launch into goal opportunities from there. So our solution was to take NO risks in forward entries until we had no choice but to go for it (4th quarter). The deliberately slow play to prevent intercept marks in our forward line just gave Collingwood even more time to park the bus to make it impossible for either team to take a mark. But then they had players at ground level everywhere and just cleared it back out, sometimes resulting in scoring shots because our backs had followed their opponents up the ground. Played right into their hands by trying to avoid playing right into their hands.

Footyology: Comment on JVR tackle
- Kings Birthday Sold Out
We've just put our family ticket +1 adult on Ticketek marketplace if anyone needs, or knows anyone that needs, a ticket. General admission though Purchased weeks ago for my birthday but the Mrs isn't recovering from her surgery anywhere near as quickly as expected so we've decided to stay home as a family.- FINALS 2022: Week 01
That's correct QD. I think if the AFL could change the rules they'd somehow create a draw on Saturday arvo and let both these sheltered teams go through.- FINALS 2022: Week 01
And even if they win, and Richmond win their next two, they'll play away again in the Prelim.- FINALS 2022: Week 01
And as a reward for finishing first, Geelong get to play away to the fourth placed Collingwood. FMD- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
I can't get this comment from Goodwin out of my head after the win at GC. 28s mark https://www.afl.com.au/video/727891/full-post-match-r2-demons?videoId=727891&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1648297889001&references=AFL_MATCH:3822&references=AFL_MATCH:3822 Are we seriously just riding games out to preserve our bodies?- Your favourite music to get you through to the Grand Final

Bulldogs love the 'us v them' mentality. Any way we can convince them that they are the favourites and should win?- PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs
My parents are Geelong supporters who live in Adelaide. They are hoping we win this weekend as they consider us the only team that can beat Port. Sacrifice for the greater good of the game.- PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs
Would hate to be officiating this game next week. Who to favour?- GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
