The extended goal square just seems so ridiculous. If they want the ball cleared further on kick-outs, why don't they just get rid of the need to kick the ball to yourself to play on and just let them run out of the square. This will give them enough extra distance to kick it out further. If they move the man on the mark back a bit as well, it will get cleared further again. Has to be better than that stupid looking rectangle.

We have 1761 points with our picks in the second round. So who are we going to trade these with to get our first round pick? GWS is usually up for a point increase to get their academy players but they only have pick 11 which is 1329 points. Will they need/do it?

I was thinking more from a strategic perspective. If Essendon win big, as they would be expected to, but those out of the eight don't, a loss to Collingwood would line us up with PA instead of Sydney. Unless Sydney beat Carlton by at least 20 points more than PA beat Gold Coast, then winning would be better. It would be great to have it all in front of us when we name our final team next week.

I just realised next week has 17th vs 18th and the loser gets the first pick. Hope the tanking judges are watching closely because if anybody is played out of their normal position it will cost their club a million bucks.

Is it just me or has everybody that has shown physical aggression towards Phil Davis been suspended this year? Have heard the guy is a massive wuck fit of the highest order. Surely that would be the main argument put forward at the tribunal in a players' defence?
