Tell me about it! I had a actullay planned the trip earlier this week to catch the Anzac eve game and then a few weeks ago the wife pulls the "I've booked a surprise weekend down south" on me. I'd burnt all available points on fishing trips of late so she had me cornered! Already given her the heads-up about next years Anzac game to avoid any issues. ?

I'm passing thru Melbourne following some business in Newcastle tomorrow and have booked tickets for me and my Dad, who will travel up from the Western District. Having an interstate membership only, I couldn't believe the cost of two tickets - one a pensioner concession and my own general admission totalling $115.00 in some pretty average seats! Regardless of cost, I'm very pleased to catch a game of footy with the old man and I'm quietly confident that we'll pull this one off against the cheaters. ????

Jesse Hogan re-signs to end of Season 2019
McQueen replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's probably just the way I was brought up I guess. But if my old man was gravely ill and I was given the time to visit him over the other side of the country, the last thing I would want to do is be anywhere other than with him for that short period of time. And I don't know what has happened at the club, I never alluded to anything like it. It's just an opinion that you can either take or leave. No need to get nasty. -

Fair call. I forgot it was a 'leisure-time' break. -

I fear that Jesse is leading us a merry dance right now. He knows he's got the skills, the potential, the backing of his teammates and the club in general but seriously, who the [censored] in their right mind would travel home to the other side of the country, whilst suspended, to supposedly visit their sick Dad for a few days and then somehow manage to find themselves at a dance party in the Swan Valley smoking darts and looking 3 sheets to the wind or otherwise.? That is taking the pizz something fierce. Club is scared of coming down on him too hard for fear of him walking out. This isn't gonna end well. -
Agree. hopefully he can use some of the funds for some Botox injections in and around his chin.

Next thing we'll have is a DRS!

Spencil out for 6 to 7 weeks. Article on the club website.

Yeah, so why didn't we win?
-
Riewoldt. Gotta find the off switch when next we play.

Fuggit. Thats all.

Need someone to sh!tmix Martin and Cotchin.

Hasn't started in WA.... best of both worlds. ?

Half time - half pist. full time is gonna be nasty.

High "don't argues" are deemed less rewarding than the actual dubious tackle. This is sooooo [censored].

This is the WORST umpiring I have ever witnessed.
-
Stronger opposition in the Umps tonight.
-
OMG ?
-
Umps atrocious fmd

Hopefully that translates into them going in with big heads. I think we'll smoke them in the first half and the second half will be a slog.

Richmond are our b!tches. 2017 is looking like it will break all records of forced turnovers and this game will add to that - weather another variable to include. Just get it done around the contest. We have a harder on-ball brigade even without Lewis. Viney will bounce back into form and Jones will easily shake any tag - probably from the C grader Caddy. I expect our physicality to absolutely rattle the Tigers early on and set us up for a comprehensive win. Agree with ProDee, I reckon Tracc will shine tonight and Hogan will be unstoppable. Cmon boys.!

....have to cough up a couple of cartons.

Is it the way he plays? Do opposition target him? Is he susceptible to concussion from moderate head-knocks? Lots of variables for our medical staff to consider but there is no doubt that in this day and age, they take the ultra-cautious path - and so they should. It makes me think just how much this must affect a young players burgeoning career.

Bang on. As if we didn't know already, their win against the Eagles in Melbourne doesn't have a lot of merit following today's hiding from the Hawks.

Just looked again at the teams and potential match-ups for this game. Granted I'm not a RFC supporter and know their list intimately like our do ours but really, they have a few good players and not much more. Their competition has been meek and tells you zero about the RFC's true capability this year. If we don't win this I'll be completely amazed. Time to pop an over-inflated yellow and black bubble.
