GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Weid's handballs are just diabolical. As much as he may offer up forward he is a complete liability in general play with ball in hand. 3 up in the marking contest again!! Break neck play ALWAYS....No level headed players that go back, slow play with patience and find the next target or the switch. We just NEVER learn. I know Lewis is SLOW when we haven't got it but at least he offers the slow play level head and poise with ball in hand when the Opp has a run on or we need to ice it.

Weid has played a role tonight albeit a bit of a one trick pony. But he's there to kick goals and doing that from limited opportunities. Frost and Weid have only played a handful of games between them. Frost was crappy in the 3rd term but ok prior. Omac is the biggest worry for mine. After nearly 70 games he still looks like a fish out of water. I would be bringing in a 90% fit May for him pronto as soon as he is fit and put in a propper pre-season. Tmac looks sooo slooow and under done without any power through the hips or legs. ANB was just ok in the first half but ordinary that quarter. I would bench Tmac (he's done for the night) and go with Lockhart and Weid up forward with Harmes / Hunt in there feeding off also. Send Clarry forward a little more also

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
It's smelling very amateurish at the very least Praha. We are 3 weeks in and apart from a few isolated pieces of good play we are a complete rabble from the get go. The selections are also bewildering and Goody forecasts them by saying earlier in the week (re questions from press about Max getting targeted and needing some help) something like "We are happy with Max blah blah". So many dumb pieces of play. So many sluggish footballers that have no burst speed and look like they've just played 4 quarters in a wet bog. Goody the buck stops with you mate.

Injury List - Season 2019
Apparently not BBP. Misson impossible?

Every club's game plan
Tigers play a very similar run and gun game off HB not unlike how the Cats played us last week IMO (when Houli & Rance are playing anyway. Style is impacted when either or both are out). Through the mid field a little chaotic at times. When the Tiges are on they certainly don't chaos / bomb / kick the ball wildly i50 the majority of the time. They often caress and hit targets on a lead (Reiwoldt a major benefactor here) with some very high level pin point precision short to medium passing which is a joy to watch (accept when it's against us). We would be a much more formidable unit if we could do the same more often.

Goodwin rejects notion that Dees list is compromised.
Confidence or Resignation? Possibly either a sign that Goody has total confidence in the group, the FD and the Player's likelihood of turning it around this week against Essendrug (or not long after)....or he is extremely concerned that the players (or some of them) have fallen into the trap of believing in the compromised pre-season stories. Goody seeing a sense of urgency lacking?

And for a long time PD. I have very little regard for it any longer. All outcomes such as these are manufactured / massaged / tampered with to ensure the big names and favoured clubs receive special treatment and aren't impacted to the degree of us lessor lights. They are given a huge advantage when all the favouritism is added up over the season/s, including the FIXture. This has been going on since the old zone days in the late 60s when the initial idea was for each club to share the zones equally and change to a new zone over rolling 3 year periods (or thereabouts) until certain clubs in the then VFL realised they were on a winning zone vs the others. They then reneged on the initial agreement and voted to keep their initial zones. The result was the clubs thats kept the better zones got the cream of the crop over many years and built themselves a dynasty while the rest got the scraps and ended up the poor cousin as a result. The cheating is and has been embedded and rusted on from VFL days and continues through to this very day.

Training - Tuesday, 2nd April 2019
We are suffering from lack of speed fatigue that's for sure. Spargo, Jeffy and Hannan all sorely missed in the forward half. Would have to be one of the worst starts to a season injury wise but then again we've had plenty of em over the decades.

The History of 0 and 2
Our weighted team numbers are as low as they've been since Rnd 4 & 5 vs the The Hawks / Tigers respectively last year. At that point we had a few wins on the board already though. However, we did get our season back on track beginning with a win against Essendrug the week after in Rnd 6 where our numbers started to improve nicely. The only other time our weighted team number was this low in any other match was against the Crows in Rnd 19 but it did [censored] down most of the last quarter. On a positive note: Our top players are starting to improve but it's mostly Clarry lead. Hopefully the rest will start taking it up notch by notch also. On a negative note: Our bottom 6 on Saturday night were a mile off where the bottom 6 were at low ebbs (even against the Hawks and we all know how bad that was) last year. Even comparing the output from our bottom 6 on Saturday evening vs the previous week (vs Port) they were a mile off. That aspect will need some serious addressing by Goody & Co. before Friday evening if we're to get a win on the board.
