He is a class above most on the Casey list NC when he turns up. However, he is also the Scarlet Pimpernel of the VFL.

Will need a few matches to get back to somewhere near his best surely. Not the quickest by foot but composed with ball in hand and can snag the odd goal. One of the few players in the team who lowers his vision, angles his kicks coming inside and hits free targets instead of blazing away most of the time.

We are consistently losing close games. Our method / management / application of red time both at the end of many quarters and matches is poor at best.

Super gutsy. Wilkie was fab especially his 3rd Q. Wood, Marshall, Owens, Jones, Higgens, Windhager, Hill among others.

Saints played red time nicely and up till about the 5 - 8 minute mark of the final Q they were consistently lowering their vision and looking to hit up the short / 45 targets including when they were coming i50. Looks like they're starting to play the way Ross is training them. Kudos to him and their list on that win tonight. Nights like this can sometimes make or break a club's season. A long way to go but a very impressive win.

Need to shorten the season once they come in also. Play each other once and kill off the stupid fixture with 5 random rounds of only a few select teams playing each other twice.

100%. You would often be under threat just going for a pee out there. The Dawks, Cats (only at Tax Payer Park though), Peptides and Filth were always in your face, even after a win. The Toiges supprorters were also the same around the Richmond area and its local pubs post match. Even the Vic based Swanny supporters have been absolute arragont a'holes over the years. Some of the worst stuff i've ever heard at the footy also came from the Saints grog squad (yep even they had one at one stage) during the 2006 finals series. As feral as you'll ever see that night. Never forget or forgive ppl.

Absolutely. Only Rnd 2 and already so many blow outs. Some of these matches are gonna be unwatchable. Early days but it seems like gulf has widened even further this season for some teams.

Yep as ordinary as Sharp was i reckon we should roll with him for at least another week and see if he can find some of the pre-season form he showed. Is Spargo even ripe to go? Afrer such a long lay off he doesn't need the extra week at Casey? Woe looks like coming in for Windsor but gee he'd want to step things up to add anywhere near the value we've been getting from Caleb.

I agree on both counts. Still think Turner is a big WIP as a forward. As a defender however i have more confidence and would bring him in for Howes without blinking. Campbell for AJ. He's ready made for the Max chop out / resting forward role in the short term till AJ returns. Woe for Windsor? I'd rather see Woe earn his way in via Casey if he can but we are already low on stocks @ Rnd 3!

That 2nd Q from CP5 is off the charts

McVee out is probably a bit more critical than we realise. Especially on the forward 45 kicks and coming inside 50 hitting the odd target. Also McVee's defensive work is first class alot of the time. I like Howes' endeavour but is the FD hoping he will fill that role? If so, unfortunately he has fallen short of late and may not be coming on as much as the FD may have hoped? McVee is a big loss for mine and can't come back soon enough.
