Ump just paid an 8 meter mark lol
-
Getting smashed at CBs. Far too easy including the spread
-
Reckon Scooby wants the ball. Whenever it comes to his wing he yelps! FCS someone give him a footy!
-
Nice lead up turnover mark to Fullo for the response goal
-
Nice tackle for the HTB to Jeffo
-
He looks hampered for mine. Surprised they selected him
-
Good quarter from Verral. Some nice hit outs, a few inside 50s and other involvements.
-
Fullo looks to be running in concrete boots. Will be interesting to see if he plays the whole game out
-
White has comtinued on from last week with some excellent work to give an assist goal to Moodie
-
Wow that's a fortunate free to Jeffo for his second on the goal line
-
Yes that's three times they've picked out the opponent with an unforced error. Very costly and makes it too easy for the oppo
-
Sestan moved off the ball far too easily there for a player of his size Great potential but at the moment there's not enough urgency, physicality and manic attack for mine at times. If he brings this more often he could be a beauty.
-
Where's the defensive sweeper at stoppage there?
-
Very interesting. There's no doubt we're trying to get some scoring power and probably retention i50 happening from CP5. As well as making it a difficult match up for the oppo. I also think it's a great mix for us as it will help him to shake off any hard tags. It also brings ANB into the mid field where his last kick inside is our best at the moment and should help improve connection rates. It says Tracc's highest rated games were vs the Blues & the Saints. I have his best rating as Rnd 2 vs the Hawks (6.5) and Rnd 1 vs the Doggies (6.0) Looking back through his season ratings, although sitting at No.1 rank this year so far, his best H&A season in the red & blue to date was 2023. He may better that this year and was on track to do so prior to about Rnd 8 before copping some heavy tags since and having to fight his way through those. Ratings reflecting that since imv. Petracca's H&A Season Ratings ... 2018 - 2.94 2019 - 2.62 2020 - 3.56 2021 - 4.04 2022 - 4.46 2023 - 4.70 2024 (to Rnd 11) - 4.47

This is actually correct in that he'll be up against a battering ram in Darcy, who he should beat convincingly on a standard day in isolation. However, Darcy's still a big frame. The energy required will still zap Max's energy throughout the game plus there's the usual battering & bruising. Then there's the agility and athletism of LJ. Again the effort required to combat the two very diff styles, with LJ potentially jumping allover and into Max will be super high in this game. So yeh, well sorry but this is not the point QD. The point is you want to conserve Maxy as much as possible for finals by giving him a serious chop out in the ruck for substantial minutes. That chop out would normally fall to JVR but of course we now revert to Petty. Petty might actually do the job a tad better than JVR tbh (in terms of raw hit outs to advantage) but unfortunatley Petty (so far) hasn't fired a shot as a forward in eight out of his nine games and is horribly out of form in this major part of his role. He is also coming in off yet another minor foot/anlkle issue. Hardly an inspiring prep for someone who's in the horrors already due to a post lisfranc recovery and the restrictions that inposed on his pre-season prep. Fullo is the ideal alternative (at least to trial / try) to Petty, yet STILL remains stuck at Casey. Could have been trialled vs the Eagles, wasn't. Missed last week due to a minor calf niggle apparently but right to go this week. Unfortunately again, at Casey. You want to get Max through a season having a significant impact, which he is. But you also want to get him coming into finals super fresh and ready to impose himself on the competition and take us deep into finals and in the short term, winning at least one of them! Relying on a severly out-of-form, injury encumbered/ prone Petty is a very poor strategy and a risky one at that imv. You also can't afford to carry a player against quality opponents like Freo or better as it will eventually come back to bite the team on the arzzz in terms of potentially losing you a tight match when the whips are cracking. Yes, if you keep persisting with Petty long enough, eventually he surely has to find some sort of form and it might begin in this, his tenth attempt. Any up tick will also appear like it's a big win also as he is comijg off such a low performance base over such a long period (nearly 2.5 months) of waiting and watching / hoping. But again it's an uber risky strategy and makes no sense when you've had an alternative (at least to trial in the short term and allow Petty to go back and try and find his owm mojo) sitting at Casey and who you apparently recruited to do exactly this type of role. Would the alternative actually work and a stint at Casey actually help Petty find his mojo again? We'll never know as the option's never been tried. And imho these are the sort of list management trial runs and tweaks that need to be made to see what you have sitting on your list if needed coming into or closer to finals if the need arises. However the trialling needs to happen now (and earlier) and especially when you're up against lessor light opposition like the Eagles, North and the Tigers. It's too late and too risky to do so when the whips are cracking closing in on finals or in a finals campaign itself.

Yep second only behind the Swans The Dogs have finally cracked it for 50 wins vs the Filth. Only took them 100 seasons of footy to get there
-
Probably pie in the sky and personally i'm in no rush and happy to see him continue to develop at Casey.... but.. Jeffo actually has a chance to pin his ears back here. There's a window opening at senior level. IF he can kick another 4 to 5 this week. And follow up the next week against the Filth with similar. He just might get on the selection radar for a debut against the Kangas post the bye.

Where's my boy Roy !?
-
Bah... Not sure about McLeans as i haven't used it in decades but Oral B is like acid rain to the cheeks & gums. Keep the $$ in Oz and buy Grants Mild Mint with Oloe Vera. Also about 30% cheaper 😄 No Sodium Sulphate either (the acid rain gum & cheek burner!) Unless you love mouth ulcers... then stick with OralB and enjoy the pain that follows# # This doesn't apply so much to the youngens as their youth will protect their mouth a little better recovering from the acid effects so they will (mostly) say i'm talking a load of bunkum
-
He's only 1cm and four years behind Curnow. Still plenty of time. Hopefully he'll start to come on in the second half of this season or 2025.
-
Darcy superb Treloar and the Bont have smothered Nick and pressured him out of this in the second half ... significant impact on the win. Treloar in particular made sure he stayed goal side of Nick at stoppages in the forward half so he couldn't run on to it and out the front to shoot at goal.
-
See ya later Filth!!
-
Juarie fantastic courage there
-
Sanders has had a pretty decent second half for a bare bones rookie. Some great kicks / connections coming inside and a few clever HB gives in close. A bit ordinary in the first half but has gotten better as the game went on
-
So the ump lets ND set his own mark rougky 1.5 meters ahead of where he marked it and then effectively sets a block for him to take a run in shot at goal
