  1. He was showing similar probs at the end of the Bombres match
  2. Kozz Big Max GAWN Bow wow Bowsa Vines Riv HP
  3. Not wanting to be pedantic GW but aren't a point and behind the same thing? Also whenever Max is lining up a goal could you have the Bullseye handler move it across about 12 - 15 feet left of centre. Thanks in advance
  4. Round 6, 2025 MCG - Demons vs Dockers Happy Easter fellow minions and a hip hip hooray! Finally on the board for 2025. Bit of a relief for all i'm sure. Our best Team Rating since Rnd 23, 2024 vs The Suns (72.13) Three players cracking the big 5.0 is something special and that's what the boys finally delivered. A 35% improvement by the 'best 6' players on our 2024 best 6 average. Vintage Maxy, Bowey proving his recent uptick in form is no fluke with a gritty but classy output and then our super star Kozzy starting the spark and setting the MCG and the Demon faithful alight. Max heads the player ratings but imho it's hard to go past Kozzy as BOG with that outstanding performance. For a small forward to crack a rating of 5.0 doesn't come easy, especially given the degree of difficulty attached to this specialist role and the limited opportunities given. Yes Koz does play mid minutes but the energy required to do both in such a manner makes this effort even more outstanding imv. A Wizard esque performance. Let's take a look at some of his output on the day... 19 effectives @ 79.2% efficiency (AFL ave roughly 74%), 1 contested speccie over Petty, 2 marks inside 50, 2 one percenters, 4 clearances, 1 rebound, 6 inside 50s, 3 tackles (2 of those i50), 10 score involvements (only bettered by Max & Bolton with 12 a piece), 2 intercepts, 475 meters gained, 3 turnovers and the most goals on the day with 5. Anzac Eve awaits against a Tiger outfit that's up and about. Demons < Subbed out TOG % > Subbed in TOG % Dockers Combined Player Ratings Stats courtesy of footywire.com and wheeloratings.com
  5. Further work required and maybe a decent nights sleep or two
  6. Try telling that to a GWS player in long sleeves at Casey today!
  7. You need an enforcer or two. We've had the old stager in Vines for so long. Now he's joined by the young Kolt. Fighting for every scrap, jostling and flying the flag are just as important as anything else in the game. Add to that the fierce attack on the ball and ball carrier. Pressure pressure pressure. Something that's been missing for far too long. The sharing of ball, running in support and more HBs forward (finally), paid dividends today. Have to back it up though. No flukes pls.
  8. Well if we're gonna start blowing our own trumpet, may as well join in with my contribution from the pre-match thread... Demon DynastyMembers2 days comment_2620010 Desperate times call for desperate measures QD I can sniff a win but beer o'clock also started about 2 hours ago!
  9. Pretty much zero impact im afraid Culley showed something in patches. Like the way he goes about it. I'm guessing he's probably a fair way away from building a tank / match fitness that will see him capable of handling AFL level. He'll get a call up at some point and will be exciting to watch when he debuts. He's a big boy and his height makes him a super versatile player who will be a difficult match up. Can easily be thrown up forward to shake things up and worry the oppo too, which was trialled today for a stint. Sestan pretty good aside from a few costly turnovers in the last Q. On that game McVee looked super rusty. Got his hands on it a bit in the second half but much of it was chip kicking and switching around back. Having said that he could play next week regardless. Bonner & Kent both pretty good. Don't mind Hardie. Doesn't rack them up but pretty good quality. Baldi, Cross & Smith all worked their bums off against the tide with a few ordinary moments mixed in at times, which can happen, even to the best. The absence of Campbell hurt imho. And Casey still hasn't found an answer to the loss of moose Munro who was the glue and engine room at CBs and stoppages for so many seasons. A few are trying hard but it's a big hole to fill.
  10. There is no niggle or any physical issues with Rooh. It's just form and confidence unfortunately
  11. Choco wants to see a 5 goal quarter
  12. Best passage of play there so far from us. More run and link up needed from defence against the wind vs too many standing around and ball carier trying for precision kicks into the wind. Kirkwood's disposal ..bah
  13. To have any chance of winning this they'll need to leave AJ in as the main ruck and change with Verral (for the chop out) off the bench or rest Verral forward if Rooh needs the odd break
  14. Shocking kick from Kirkwood for the turnover goal
  15. Bill could've taken a few more steps and really opened that checkside up
  16. Verral losing most of the CBs unfortunately. GWS cleaning up better at ground level as well for the majority of clearances
  17. Verral did ok at the bounce but then coughs up what he shouldn't ... GWS capitalise
  18. Culley is a big unit ...fingers crossed he can bring something as the season progresses
  19. Messaging.. harder, halfing more contests, forwards were too forward of ball, correct that. Win it and start driving legs out and connect
  20. Siren couldn't come soon enough Looked alot better in that last 5 min or so with AJ taking stoppages and his attack on ball carrier at ground level in back half Sesto got better as quarter went on Bonner also with Baldi getting involved. GWS's transition out of defence looked too easy at times for mine. F50 pressure not great soon as ball hits the deck
  21. Breeze has picked up...5 goals or so
  22. Verral struggling at CBs so far
  23. Nice grab and hit up from Fritta to AJ for our first
  24. 2 to 3 goal wind from left to right here
  25. Culley clearance to Bill to Rooh out the back for the missed set shot
