  1. I was surprised with this rating Layzie. Even though i thought he played a VN game and was involved quite a bit, i thought the rating was a fair degree higher that what i saw. However, this is the exact reason you might take a second look at a particular player's game on occasions when you see something jump out at you. Generally you have to trust what you see / witness on the day, provided.... , that you're paying serious attention on the said player/s under consideration and taking any 'bias hat' off as well! I probably missed quite a bit, including the impact he was having at times both in general play and out of the middle. Would like to check his game out again if i had the time. There's also the things we miss on the box though that happen behind the ball or outside the viewing area of the camera that might be caught by the statisticians.
  2. Cheers DZ ... yes great to see these three young fellas making an impact! Obviously it's a long season and rookie's can drop away somewhat as the year progresses at times but it's a great start.
  3. From what i've seen so far, Roohey rarely misses from about 35 and under. Once he gets a bit stronger through the legs/bod he will hopefully extend his accuracy from further out.
  4. Blake Howes is playing some very nice footy and might get a tilit at some point depending on form
  5. Much better W. The confidence gained in his game in general from this improvement should not be underestimated
  6. Thought he was very good today. Alot of stuff inside and out that probably went unrewarded on the sheets & unoticed.
  7. Round 4, 2023 Optus Stadium - Eagles vs Demons Clarry on top again... need to temper that somewhat as he did have the equal most number of clangers on the day with 7, alongside Williams of WC. Rivers the most meters gained for us with 445. Only beaten by Tim Kelly who was way in front of everyone with 703. A very nice 'return to form' result from Viney i thought... 18 Effectives @ 82%, 1 mark i50, 3 one percenters, 7 clearances, 2 Rebounds, 5 inside 50s, 6 tackles (one inside 50), 9 score involvements, 2 intercepts, 1 goal, 387 meters gained and 3 turnovers. Great result for Rivers as well. Only my opinion but if he just cleans up his kicking / decision making a tad (at least some made when not under a great deal of pressure) to put some icing on what's becoming a pretty decent 2023 so far. 8. 6. Viney 5. T-Mac 4. Grundy 3. Tracc 2. Clarry 1. Rivers Apologies Lingers, Fritsch & MCvee
  9. Hunter's had a few brains snaps this season. He's good with plenty of room but a bit of a worry under heat on occasions.
  10. WC double teaming Clarry ... a number of holds off the ball. They've called 2 so far but missed as many
  11. Whats with the worm burning kicks inside straight to a WC defender lol?
  12. Spargo crikey blimey
  13. The usual biased umpiring happening in this quarter... keeping them in it
  14. Spargo had space to run & bounce there..... kick a long kick deep inside 30 but instead only ran his measure and kicked a shallow ball to a pack of players behind the arc A bit more composure would be handy
  15. Tracc forward and bring Kozz in the middle for 10 minutes or so? Tracc has the fumble yips again and needs to take a grab or get a few cheap ground balls / receives to get his confidence up a little IMV. If staying in the middle / around stoppage i'd instruct him to get in there and get his hands on it a bit more. Running past the contests a bit too often so far.
  16. Love Rivers attack but needs to clean up his disposal. Ball murderer far too often at this level. Nice crumb from the Kozz and crumbing goal from the little one
  17. Tracc running past so many contests that he could impact. Needs to be stronger around the drop
  18. Lovely start from Macca. Viney looking a bit more 'on' this week
  19. WC first at many of these contests.... hunting in more numbers than us at present and cleaner / more composed with disposal also
  20. Alot of room given to Darling there by May
  21. A very solid win, especially given we had only two players with a fair bit of AFL experience
  22. Lovely contested mark from Shache
  23. Jefferson certainly shows a bit for a big fella
