How does the doc reviewing the video make a so called "error" when Aliir was clearly laying prostrate for at least 30 seconds plus AND only managed to get up with assistance from the 2nd Doctor attending him. Add to this the fact that he wasn't getting up of his own accord and was effectively encouraged and maneuvered by the attending Doc plus trainers to do so only AFTER Jones had sat up of his own accord with the assistance of Port's other Doctor? This is seriously as bad as it gets in terms of Port seemingly flouting and thumbing their nose at the protocols as far as Aliir was concerned. If the AFL attempt to sweep this one under the rug without a serious penalty they have rocks in their heads. It will come back to bite them big time if they don't bring the hammer down.

Managing/Resting/General soreness, whatever tickles your fanny folks. Even if a player's genuinly 'managed' unfortunately they wont be left to their own devices laying back basking on a banana lounge sipping Pina Coladas poolside for days on end 🌴🌞🌴 The HP team will have an individual program layed out to ensure they are 'actively' resting in order to ensure they are primed for their return. While obviously player in question avoids the heavy hitting/ bruising and potential corkies etc from a full match day hit out and hopefully gets to overcome the bulk of any such issues. It comes back to the individual players and the coaches / HP crew coming together and discussing needs/wants as we enter this last foray prior to finals. And who, if any, end up being managed if the window is there should they have potential issues that warrant the active break. A fair percentage of whether the player does/doesn't would be determined in said discussions as well as the alignment of needs from a match up & coaches perspective in terms of game style, structure, available ins to cover off etc. Spoke to the Bont about this late last year and he said the seasons were already overly lengthy and about to become even more taxing now with the extra gather round thrown in. He said any 'in season' breaks are a god send for those in the regular starting 22 in order to make it through while playing a decent brand of footy.

That's not hard. Just don't. Unless Maxy needs a week off managed etc against a lowly rated oppo or as sub to cover off against a very tall oppo team sheet or they're bringing in two genuine rucks. This week for example is the ideal 'managed' opportunity and Goodwin & the FD should be seriously considering doing so. He would then have a solid lead up of three matches to fine tune leading into finals. Perfect timing.
