I’m neither here nor there on this one, but @Demonland I’m looking for our win loss record stats in night games this year please 😂

Clearly not a Melbournian. The sun comes out. You watch it longingly from inside. Then you cry about losing your freedom and losing to Geelong.

Ball use is very important. But equally line breaking pace is very important against a slow and aging Geelong. Given Geelong are going tall, Smith will need to stay. I would bring in Hunt if fully fit for Bowey. Prelims are a big jump in intensity. Bowey is a kid and did look a little nervous against Brisbane (which is totally understandable). Against a very experienced opponent I would prefer Hunt.

I don't disagree. I think they will have as easy a stroll into a grand final as you'd like. If they play Geelong, there is no chance they don't win. They will just run over the top of them fresh as a daisy. If they meet us it will be a different story and I back us to win. We match up on them really well. Of all the teams left, Geelong were the ones I really didn't want to face. This prelim is as hard as you can possibly hope for. If we win, I think our grand final chances are pretty good (assuming we avoid serious injuries!). But the more I think about this game, the more I am feeling worried that Geelong won't just come out and do the same thing they've done to lose both matches to us in the H&A season. They are better and more experienced than that, and I still maintain that you learn more from losing than winning. We might have the mental edge over them after round 23, but they have the experience and the mongrel and I don't think they'll go down without a seriously bruising fight. They have nothing to lose, as this is probably their last chance at a flag for a long time.

Gotta say I’m also surprised. I thought our game against Brisbane was actually well umpired. The Port Geelong final was also pretty good. I hope the 3 idiots who umpires the Brisbane Geelong game aren’t coming to Perth this week. That was one bad umpiring display. Nothing annoys me more than umpires who have no feel for the game.

Relative to a nuclear reactor going off, it’s stable. Tom Brown is an intellectual midget.

Port Adelaide just cruising into the grand final the easiest possible way. A tired Geelong. A week off. Dogs after a bruising contest minus Weightman and a half broken Bont. Two home games. Jesus you would be insane not to back them to go all the way.

Please make sure they have their best booing voices ready for Geelong and the umpires.

I’m definitely not confident about this game, but I will say that in our last final we faced the highest scoring team in the competition and kept them to 9 goals.

Freo won’t be counting on that one being a top 10 pick I wouldn’t think.

If anyone on Demonland needs a barcode and can prove to me via DM that they are in WA* and are actually Melbourne fans (ideally a member without an early access barcode), I am happy to pass it along. *or in another state but able to gain access to WA Edit: if Geelong fans are reading this forum thinking they can snatch a barcode they can [censored] right off. I would literally burn my membership before I give a Geelong supporter the ability to go to the game 😂

What the [censored] is the difference? You get a head knock that renders you unable to play out a game. Is that not a concussion? I’m very confused by what is a head knock so severe you can’t play, if it’s not a concussion 🤷‍♀️
