  1. Yep really embarrassing stuff. We told him to bugger off and now we are booing him? So dumb. I can only imagine the boos Grundy will get on King Birthday from the brain dead nuffies who barrack for the Pies
  2. Weideman started well. Wish him all the very best. Genuinely hope he has a good career at Essendon.
  3. Genuinely shocked our Sydney game is on Sunday. Surely deserves prime time.
  4. What are you talking about? Kept Naughton to 1 goal. Naughton is an absolute gun. Tomlinson played on Lobb who is borderline a potato (still has a fantastic game!)
  5. Gut feel is that Kosi gets 3, down to 2 with an early plea. He could not have picked a worse time to do what he did given the AFL is currently facing not one but two lawsuits for concussion negligence.
  6. Confirmed crazy Petty is a lock in the starting 18 and is Mayโ€™s heir to the throne
  7. I assume we find out tomorrow?
  8. I think he was always getting subbed out for Melksham anyway. But wasnโ€™t setting the world on fire so it was the right call regardless.
  9. Had a mental breakdown ๐Ÿ˜‚
  10. Gawn, as an individual, has to be one of the greatest ruckman to ever take the field. He is just a freak and a unique player who does things nobody his height has any right to do. And has been a pillar of consistency for 6 seasons now. IMO he is better than Cox. As a unit, only more flags/ a Brownlow will make it a discussion. Eagles were more successful with those 3 than we have been to date. That could still change.
  11. Absolutely played his role. Needs to polish the finishing in front of goal, but otherwise he worked hard and smart. He plays taller and bigger than he actually is and had some really good wins in the contest. He is one guy who worked really hard on his craft for a long time and has been very patient. Really happy for him and would love him to stay in the starting 22.
  12. We just wonโ€™t make 4 unforced changes. We never have. Goodwin seems hell bent on not repeating the mistakes of last year and grinding our best players into the ground. We have to be fit come finals. No point finishing second and bombing out in straight sets again because half our squad canโ€™t get out of bed, let alone play 120 minutes of finals intensity footy. It is early in the season and we have depth and plenty of kids desperate to play. None of the debutants disgraced themselves yesterday and both Chandler and Tomlinson had wonderful games. No point rushing 4 underdone players in for round 2. If itโ€™s a final, sure, but itโ€™s round 2.
  13. The only reason Dogs got back in the game in the second quarter is because Clarry and Kosi were stuck on the bench for around 8 minutes. The minute those two came back on and the legendary combo of Clarry, Trac and Gawny went into the middle, it was all over for the Dogs. These 3 do not fail
  14. No chance we rush all 4 guys back in. Tomlinson played well and deserves another crack while May gets 10000% fit. If May blows a calf you can kiss our season goodbye. Likewise I think Salem goes through the VFL to get some touch as heโ€™s missed a lot of pre season.
  15. The AFL match review panel has always been about outcome not intentโ€ฆ until a Melbourne player is involved. I hope we fight whatever we get if itโ€™s more than a week based on precedence, and also to show Kosi we will support him to the ends of the earth (so he signs on!).
  16. My favourite comment: โ€œwhenโ€™s Lobb arriving from Fremantleโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  17. Heโ€™s a Melbourne player. Will get 25 to life. Buddy will get a bravery medal.
  18. Tmac was the only disappointment for mine tonight. Couldnโ€™t mark it and missed a sitter after the siren. Will want to improve because JVR will certainly get a game soon enough. My money is round 4 against the Eagles in his home state.
  19. I see it now. Buddy gets off on a โ€œstar playerโ€ technicality. Kosi gets 19 weeks.
  20. This. Canโ€™t see us risking May or Salem
  21. We absolutely rested most players a lot more than last year. I would love to know how much time Gawn spent rucking too. Iโ€™ve never seen Oliver spend so much time on the bench either. Nor Langdon who looked confused when he came off ๐Ÿ˜‚
  22. A great win when you consider we were missing our best defender, best forward and third best midfielder. Really happy with what we got from McVee and Chandler (Laurie didnโ€™t disgrace himself either!), and hats off to Tomlinson. He was absolutely the player we saw in 2021. Oliver and Gawn are literal freaks. Gawn is Benjamin Buttoning his career. Just gets better and better with age and if the only thing Grundy does is prolong Gawnyโ€™s career by 2 years, heโ€™s been worth every cent. Gawn is a giant of this game. Literally and figuratively.
  23. Sexy second half Still living rent free in the Dogโ€™s head since 2021
  24. Chandler has to work on his set shots. Otherwise heโ€™s had a good game. Also really rate McVee. Loved his run down the members wing.
