  1. Lets just hope his manager isn't full of horse shite like the other managers generally are. Dear Melbourne, please give him whatever he wants.... money, cars, houses, prostitutes, the world. Just give it to him, lock him away for 20 years and lets all move on.
  2. Privately. Not publicly. I don't like seeing players disagreeing on the field. It shows a lack of unity and it tells your opponent that we are a mess and don't play as a team. Ripe for the picking.
  3. He can be filthy but he needs to learn to reign that in on gameday. It's a bad look and it doesn't help anything. It just makes him look like a petulant child who won't share his toys. I get that playing with a bunch of morons who can't kick to a lead, and having your space taken by your own teammates is annoying. But you deal with it in team meetings and at the breaks. You don't throw a hissy fit on the field, it's completely unprofessional and achieves nothing. Yes Hogan is an amazing talent, but it is his first season. If I was Cross and he yelled at me, I'd tell him to go stick it.
  4. The only Essendon player I'd go near is Zaharakis- clean from the drug saga and quick Plus one less player to have destroy us every single time we play Essendon
  5. I've lived thru Scully-Trengove-Jurrah-Aussie-Clark. It's a miracle I haven't had a nervous breakdown yet. MFCSS is to be expected. Having said that, Hogan keeps me coming to games and I hope that will be the case until I'm 40 and he's 32.
  6. Enjoy it while it lasts. Can't see him sticking around this mediocrity
  7. And when was the last time you saw a KPF as good as Hogan?
  8. I also think that his kicking penetration drops late in games as he gets tired He had another shot from around 50m later in the game and it wasn't quite as good He obviously is still working on his fitness, and with this improving so will his kicking. We often see skills drop in young players as the game and the season wears on.
  9. He consistently kicks 2 goals a game. That's as consistent as a key forward can be, let alone at his age! He's now kicked 1 bag of 5 and 1 of 4, so he is definitely a chance. If he has another 1 or 2 games where he kicks 4 or more, he will win the thing hands down, if the selectors know anything about footy!
  10. In some weird way, the "bad" win yesterday makes me more confident that we can win 2 in a row than ever before We seem to get carried away with good wins and come out flat the following week. Maybe this week is the week!
  11. Being a Melbourne supporter
  12. I'm not saying I believe it blindly But on form Howe should have been dropped a loooong time ago.
  13. I heard today from someone who knows Cam Pedersen that Jeremy Howe is gone Begs the question why the f he keeps getting a game (and yes he played well today)
  14. I agree that he is the least of our problems, and he could absolutely be the best key forward in the game. However as you said, he isn't above criticism and his body language today was miles ahead of last week and he also played much better, which I don't think is a coincidence.
  15. What's with the "where will he fit" talk? He's an A grader, we will make him fit!
  16. I have no idea why people are so harsh on Garland? He performs consistently, he is a good user of the football, he goes hard and gives his all week in week out He has gone through the same hell as a lot of the other players, and has stuck it out. He's had a decent season, and it's beyond me why people would want him gone Howe on the other hand, can take his speccie highlight reel and back the truck out!
  17. Sorry but who here is punching on the kid? Nobody here said anything about him having a bad game and being a bad player His attitude today was worrying, didn't chase, dropped his head, poor second efforts. Sometimes delivery to him will be poor, that's how it goes. He needs to learn to deal with it. As much as Dawes is pretty ordinary, at least his attitude is first grade. He always holds his head up and tries to lead. Hogan needs to follow his lead in that respect
  18. No issue with the output. He will have plenty of bad games in his life. Big issue with his attitude. He needs to cut it out now before it becomes habitual.
  19. Needs a run at Casey and an attitude adjustment. Stop believing your own hype.
  20. I think we can safely assume that Terlich is getting delisted given he hasn't once cracked in for a game, not even when our injury list was a complete mess Apart from him, I wouldn't assume anything. Matt Jones bring more than Ro Bail in my opinion because of his supreme leg speed and also his inside ability. He isn't great, but as far as depth goes, he probably will give you more than pick 98 in the draft

He's 22 What were you doing at 22 other than getting [censored] and badly hitting on girls? Form at that age fluctuates, especially when you're a KPP in a struggling team with a questionable midfield We have 99 problems but Tom Mcadonald ain't one Please also note correlation between drop in form and Salem's hamstrings. Too much extra responsibility to play attacking role which is not his shtick.
  22. Except for Garlett, where the more difficult the kick the more accurate he is!
  23. He'd be disappointed about the 2 missed goals, and that easy dropped mark in the last. He was also struggling a bit with tightness, getting lots of work done in the breaks and testing himself with fast short runs. Thought he had a great game in terms of output, but scarily I've seen him play better. One day he will rip a game open and kick 10. I just hope it's against Carlton this year.
  24. I reckon he learns more from bad games than good games to be honest. It's good experience for him to play in big games, and have a struggle with his opponent. At this stage of his career every game is a good game. We put a lot of pressure on him, but realistically he is still traveling better than most KPFs his age have historically.
