  1. These probabilities are so stupid. As if Brisbane, PA or Sydney will not make the 8! What sort of world ending zombie apocalypse do they think will take place outside of Victoria for these teams to drop out? Also strong LOL at 'mathematical' for Adelaide, Hawthorn and Norf. More mathematical they tank for draft picks!
  2. Yep, here we go again. People doing the wrong [censored] thing constantly because they are selfish. I hope like hell he did not walk around crowded inner city Melbourne, but instead made a few stops for fuel/food in remote areas. Somehow I highly doubt it. He probably went to Chadstone, Bunnings, Kmart and the Pies Richmond game ?
  3. 100% especially when we can't attend half the year thanks to Covid! The more we tweak the game the more we adapt to it. If you want to make the game better, get better umpires. Simple.
  4. I should add that I've met some really lovely footballers over the years, who were kind and respectful. Like in every walk of life, there is always that 5-10% of scum. I do remember however beating the Saints in that final where Carroll starred and we went out afterwards and got fairly wasted and ran into Nick Del Santo and I told him his team sucked and he was quite nice about it, which was very gracious of him. I was a drunk brat in a Melbourne scarf and he just laughed it off. I guess if I was a guy maybe he would have reacted differently.
  5. Unfortunately this is not such an uncommon occurrence. A 'friend' (no longer) of mine in high school was going out with a much older footballer who was also married with kids. Another friend had a fling with a Melbourne player, when she was only 17 and he was 25 or 26. He was single, so at least there is that. This happens all the time, and I dare say it is more frequent now that footballers have social media and so are easily accessible. The only way to get it on with a footballer when I was in high school is to go out to nightclubs where they frequented. Knowing the promoter always helped, because you'd be let in even when you were underage. I knew a few of these promoters, so it was easy to get into clubs when we were 16 and 17, and players absolutely would hit on you and never enquire about your age.
  6. Football has become a music video for "What about me" by Shannon Noel.
  7. I agree. I don’t think they’ll actually play Cameron before finals, unless they start dropping games and a top 4 finish is in danger. If he does his hammy again and misses finals they won’t win a flag. They know it.
  8. Why? I think we can beat them at the MCG. We have a strong recent record against them and I bet of all the teams they would want to play us the least as we have the backline to nullify their biggest strength, which is their forwardline. The only bad game for us in finals will be if we end up on a road trip to the Gabba. Otherwise I back us against any other side at the G. Remembering too that of the top 6 sides currently, we are the only team who plays regularly and has a game plan specific to the MCG.
  9. Anyone with an MFC membership thats paid for a grand final guarantee would get a ticket. Even if we are not at full allocation for the grand final, those members would get first priority as we do every week when tickets go on sale (if capacity is limited to 20,000 I doubt the grand final will be played in Victoria anyway!). They cannot sell you these memberships if seating allocation exceeds what a competing club gets on grand final day. It is why we are one of the few clubs in the competition that still have those memberships available. Most clubs have sold out of their allocation a long long time ago. edit: the above applies to MFC membership only. I have no idea what the deal with the MCC is.
  10. Sydney and GWS will need to decide if they want to fly down their families and have them quarantine for 14 days. They are not going anywhere for a long while. Sydney may be here well into September.
  11. Curtains for Richmond you’d think in 2021.
  12. The crowd in this Richmond Pies game is an impressive sight. So many mullets. So few teeth.
  13. Without a doubt Dogs can still finish 1st. They have a very easy draw.
  14. Well the umpires tried really hard. Disappointed for them.
  15. Dogs have lost the plot.
  16. Come on Swans!!!
  17. Umpires doing everything except kick the goals for the dogs.
  18. Umpires taking the absolute [censored] with this.
  19. Swans doing everything but kick goals.
  20. Bruce looks like a part time barista working in a vegan cafe making matcha lattes.
  21. Omg the umpiring is so bias #freekickdogs
  22. Sydney better get comfortable playing in Victoria. They’ll be here a while.
  23. Sydney can’t get their hands on the footy in the clearances. Dogs dominating out the middle.
  24. Expect a new rule to come in. “Age concession”. Extra rotations and an additional sub for any team playing a side with an average age of 30 or above.
  25. No. They don’t play finals down there against Victorian teams. Not enough seating.
