Another fun draft day. I can breathe again as the vikes took a QB. I think the rams were the big winners. Their front 7 looks pretty scary now. The bills get the sure thing of the draft. Watkins is a ready to go player. Oakland got a great OLB but I'm not sold on their QB. The browns make things interesting with getting Johnny. We tried to trade up to get him after passing on him with pick 9 but the browns got the pick from philly with a better offer. Trading up for bridgewater with pick 32 is ok by me. I'm not rushing out to buy a bridgewater jersey like I would've if we got Johnny but I'll wait and see.

The Jack Viney bump that never was!

Does anyone know what time the hearing starts? If it isn't over turned I'll take my truck down there and drive straight at the tribunal panel. I hope they know how to brace for contact. -
When 99 percent of the football world are against the viney decision Barrett decides to go against the grain so his name rises above all others. He needs to be heard and wanted the uproar over his opinion.

The Jack Viney bump that never was!

A contest like that used to be considered a virtue of our game. It would have been used in advertisements for the next season. Two blokes with eyes for the ball go at it. It was tough and had no malice in it. Good luck advertising a game based on defensive zones and low scoring Gillon. -

Richmond Appealing Deledio Suspension

I haven't seen what deledio did but I have no doubt he is guilty and the suspension is worthy of his actions. -

Lynch was 192cm but a certain body part shrunk to the size of a bee when he saw Viney coming. -

Does anyone know who is on the tribunal panel? Any chance they have played some footy? -

This is surely a hoax. Or are the tribunal just doing this to keep getting paid? I would say the majority of journo's and footy fans are on viney's side. Unless gill from the Simpsons is heading the defendant it should be thrown out. -
The official I love Dom Tyson thread
cowboy_from_hell replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
How many games has Tyson played in his career? He plays with a lot of composure and that goal came from not having a panic attack in the heat of the moment. -
I loved the game from Grimes. The fact that he could get into position with no player around on occasion and take intercept marks shows his smarts. I'm sure Sando would have tried to get a player next to him at all times. Yes he stuffs up on occasion but I put most of that down to him always being in the highest pressure position on the ground. Standing still waiting for a contested mark is hard enough. Do that with the game on the line and also knowing each week a monster forward can come through at anytime and knock you out cold and you may stuff up every now and then. Then take the mark, check your head is still on your shoulders straighten up and read the play and for the love of god don't screw up the hardest kick on the ground. This is his task every week. He gets a pass from me.
-
If we can get a jump on teams we can hold onto a lead now. Having such a great structure means no panic when the game is on the line because we plan to hold possession of the ball and set up from there. The old run and gun style was great to watch but if the pressure was on we wouldn't know what to do. I love you Paul.

I have to eat some humble pie because of Pedo. He seems to be one of those players who is getting everything out of his ability. He runs bloody hard and competes all over the ground. He plays as if he knew his career was on the line. Good on him. Shows how much i know about footy.

Which is why St.Louis should be very happy with themselves. They have a pick 2 and they don't really need it. If the player they need/want is touted to go mid first round or second round they can trade down to get more picks and still get the player they wanted. A top ten pick when you have a QB and a good team is not a huge priority. If bradford can stay fit and live up to his potential the Rams GM looks like a genius after that trade with Washington. If Minnesota stuff this draft up i'll be filthy. Yes we need a QB and the last time we needed a QB we had pick 12 and drafted Ponder. We could have taken a QB in the second round as there wasn't a standout QB at that pick. I'm pretty sure Wilson went to Seattle very late in the same draft. My gut feel is Goodell will call out "At pick 8 the vikings choose whatever QB hasn't been picked"
-
This draft drags out for bloody ever. It should of been done at least two weeks ago. The media are quoting "sources" about every player. GM's are playing funny buggers.Bridgewater is no good now probably a second round pick, Johnny football could go anywhere and clowney has been questioned about his desire to play hard after taking it easy this year after his blowout season the year before. At a guess texans take clowney or Johnny ,rams trade pick 2 to Atlanta if clowney is still there, raiders don't take a QB, Cleveland does and my Vikings take bortles at 8. Now I have a headache.

Watts needs to work on his tackling technique. He tries to lay a tackle from an arms length. Use your body son.

SALEM!!!!
-
At least we are watchable every week. Last year we would of been on 15 points but Sydney would be 132. Watts should be subbed for Salem. Pedo and Dunn are having a dead set crack. The Ruling of holding the ball is the problem not the umpires. You just need to attempt to dispose of the ball and in doing so you can drop the ball and it's called play on. The rule needs to be changed as it was only brought in to ease congestion. It has taken away one of the major fundamentals of the game. You used to HAVE to handball or kick the ball.
-
It's the rules that are destroying the game. It doesn't matter if you drop the ball as long as you attempt to dispose it. It's a stupid rule.
-
Yep, I dip my lid to Pedo. I thought he was a list clogger but he is having a dead set crack all over the ground.
-
We need to control the ball better and rebound a bit faster. Sydney look to be putting on a lot of pressure. On Watts he needs to stop skirting around the pack. While Cross and Viney are chasing everyone around laying a tackle and then attempting to follow up Watts does a bit of a sidestep around the pack. Either Tackle or put Salem on.

I would love to carve up some Barrett and slow cook him for a few days in a fancy Hannibal sauce and then feed him to my dog.
