I thought Freeman was going to take that next step but he seems to have gotten worse. We have a superstar QB in Matt Cassel! He actually played very damn well. 16/25 248 yards with 2 TD and 0 interceptions. I keep waiting for Ponder to stamp the position as his but he isn't dangerous in the pocket and we have a classier receiving group this year then we did last year. Freeman does need a new home though. He is done at Tampa.

Oh man. SEASON OVER!! Vikings lose to the Browns at home. Good on the Browns I always like seeing a Cleveland team win something/anything but did they have to win on the road with a QB I have never heard of? Bears and Lions are going along nicely and my Vikings are being left in the dust! 0-3 in the NFC north is asking a lot to comeback from. The vikings may have their finger on the panic button but I'm sure the Giants have smashed it already. I couldn't believe that score. Steelers look cooked as well. Dear Big Ben you would look great in purple. Is the reported RG3 and Shanahan bad relationship in the pre season starting to show? I haven't seen a skins game yet so I don't know. Strafford you must be a happy man and Pantaloons can you tell me how it feels to support a undefeated team? It must be a odd feeling compared to the despair we all felt after 3 rounds of Melbourne footy.

Avery is a jet. 3rd and long is not a problem with Avery. Chiefs are looking good if they can keep Vick off the field. Eagles are shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers. Pretty good game so far.

As of right now Indy must be thrilled. That offence just got instantly better. I couldn't imagine doing a full pre season with your team being ready to go for another year and by week 3 you get the tap on your shoulder and you have to pack ya bags and relocate yourself and your family to another city. Such is life in American sports I suppose.

No wonder they say the NFL stands for Not For Long. Trent Richardson is a RB for the Browns taken at pick 3 in the draft a couple of years ago. He just got traded to Indy for a 1st round pick. It makes big sense for Indy but for the browns I don't know. Are there a stack of QB's in the draft this year? Well it makes the Vikings game against the Browns a lot easier.

49ers won last week.They played well against a tough Green Bay. After a bit of mid week trash talk kapernick didn't run the ball that much but he threw for a ton of yards. There was a sideline scuffle over a late hit on kapernick but they had pads and helmets on (when will they learn?) tough game this week for San Fran at Seattle these divisional rivals could argue that their rivalry is the biggest in the NFL.

Tough tipping this week. The Jets could actually win. Pats have a few injuries so you never now but hell no i'm not tipping them. Dallas New Orleans San Francisco

I though Matthews was going to take off Kap's head on the sideline. A massive stuff up by the refs. Pretty good effort by Green Bay though. Why is Boldin in a 49ers uniform? He dominated and i'm sure Flacco is real happy about his departure. From the looks of it Oakland didn't disgrace themselves and KC and Arizona are on the up as well. The Sean Payton factor is in full swing. Saints look real good. Yes the Jets found a way to win but I bet the Jets organization are having a board meeting trying to figure out how to wedge some more drama into their club as a hard fought win is boring for them.

Losing your opening round to a divisional rival isn't a great start. It's panic stations for Ponder already. Lions defence looks a lot more solid this year. Injuries to the ravens made it hard but they can't just try and out score teams they need to defend as well. It is Round 1 but the defense must be a concern for Baltimore. Peyton oh Peyton what a performance. With his receiving core they are going to be hard to stop. I have tipped them for the superbowl. I get my vikings gear from overseas. I found it impossible to find a store based in oz. There are plenty of dodgy websites from Asia that sell counterfit gear. It's cheap and whilst it isn't legit a guernsey is about $20 compared to $110. The quality obviously isn't as good as the real deal but I get the real stuff and some dodgy when my wife starts counting how many Adrian Petersons I have.

The Knee issue is a tough one. I would think that if a player is in the play then being tackled at the knees is fine. Green Bay are a easy pick and I think my Vikings aren't going to get as good a record as last year due to a tougher schedule. Bengals have to be ready to step up with Steelers and Ravens stepping down. Are the Jets close? Ha!

Dallas have no chance because the NFL have come to the conclusion that Dallas not making the playoffs and the Jets finding new ways to implode every year is far more entertaining then bot teams winning. It's half the fun of the NFL.

I have the broncos down as champs. Gotta love pre season predictions. Sliding down in my inferior mind is the Pats: No receiving core and the Skins: RG3 to have second year blues and is coming back from a ACL. It takes a super human beast of a man to come back well from a ACL and have his best year.

A good pre season is no injuries in my mind. I couldn't give a stuff about form at all. DT Sharrif Floyd was one of our first round picks in the draft (We had 3 ) He got injured. I pray that Peterson never gets injured again. If you want to see a 29 year old man cry watch me if he is injured.

Vikings backup Full back scored a 61 yard TD and I didn't know who he was. Our division will be strong again and Detroit can easily bounce back. Dunno about the bears. I don't think Lovie should have gone. As you said if their record was the same but they made the playoffs he would be there. 10-6 is a good year. That's what the Vikes finished on. The bears started off last season so strong. Their defense would always strip the ball and Cutler wouldn't have to do much. But their pass protection was awful and it all fell apart but it wasn't a complete disaster. 8-8 could see you last in the NFC North that's tough.
