Pretty interesting week of football. All NFC north teams get no wins. A bloody tie in Green Bay. Vikes should of had it. We were up by enough to hold on against Flynn and the Green Bay defence looked vulnerable early on. It doesn't matter much to the VIkes but a win to the Pack with losses to Detroit and Chicago could of helped the slight chance of the Packers getting a playoff spot. The AFC is jam packed with 5-6 teams right now. I wouldn't have a clue who will get the wild card spots in the AFC. Another Brady-Manning game is in the books. That game reminded me of the TV series Dexter. Great game with a terrible ending. It deserved better.

Not that this article says much but I can't imagine a QB being protected even more. If the defense has broken down the play and the QB scrambles the QB is fair game to me. With the likes of WIlson,RG3 and Newton running more and more to me it's bad luck if they get injured. Rodgers getting injured was bad luck on his part and a good play by the defense. If you have to perform the perfect tackle on a running QB or you get flagged you will start to see big Ben running the read option as the chances of a penalty are huge. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000281814/article/nfl-to-look-at-expanding-protection-for-quarterbacks

CJ2K is racking up the yards. Somedays he looks like AP then the next day he will give you nothing. Come on Indy.

Not really shocked by Miami losing. Bucs had to win sometime. If I'm sick of the he said she said crap between Martin and incognito Miami must be going bonkers. Indy Arizona Detroit

I wish Minnesota could be relegated to the NFC east. If cutler is still hurt Detroit should take the NFC north. Carolina has thrown a massive spanner in the works and they still have two games against the saints to come. Matt Flynn is being looked at by the packers again. Does anyone know how long Vick is out for? It's pretty hard to bench Foles at the moment.

What's happened to the bengals offence strafford? Your boys offence was smothered in the first half. Bears came real close with some TD's waved off late in the game. That rams defensive line is bloody scary. Next week I may purchase a Green Bay jersey as our very own "macca" may line up at QB.

Jarius Wright played a few snaps as the slot receiver last year and has some pace about him. He might have more speed then Jennings. Jennings is in new territory that's for sure. I heard the commentators say in the six years he was at Green Bay he had three QB's. He has had 3 QB's in half a season at Minnesota. What frustrates me with Ponder is not his ability. He can scramble and can hit Tight Ends very well and he does have some grunt about him. It's the fact that this year coach Frazier and coordinator Musgrave have tried to turn him into a deep ball QB. He just can't do it. I understand why they would try. With AP you can play action when the box is loaded and then throw bombs to Jennings. But it hasn't worked and it has hurt Ponder's form and confidence. Having a poor defence hasn't helped either. But after all that rant we won and beat RG3 so it's not all bad. Jerome Simpson celebrated well with a 'DWI' after the game.

You sound a bit flat Macca. If Flynn is fit to me it makes sense for him to return. Only because he has played well with the Green Bay system. If his shoulder is knackered then I would suspect McCarthy would steer clear of him and stay with Wallace. If Cutler doesn't come back well then that's a start. Also Bears and Detroit both need to play the vikings at Minnesota so maybe just maybe we can help you guys out.

It's a bit of a shambles when it comes to the QB at Minnesota. Freeman gets one week to get used to the offence, gets a game and plays poor. So it;s back to Ponder while until yesterday the only QB with a win is our 3rd stringer. Washington had all the play and possession. They should have won. Vikings secondary is really ordinary and injuries don't help. Our pass rush is still pretty good with Kevin WIlliams still going well and first round pick Floyd going ok with Robinson and Jared Allen on the edge all day Washington started to give up sacks at important parts of the game. Skins can still win the division though. Hell the Giants might get up. As you said the skins had the same record last year. Loved the story about Alfred Morris refusing to buy a new car because he still fears getting cut. He is driving around in a 1991 Mazda.

Happy with the win but my tips are stuffed. Ponder just can't do the basics for a deep throw. As you point out his vision is awful and he stays in the pocket too long. After the interception we went back to what made us a good offence last year, We went to AP and our TE's. Ponder can scramble and keep a play alive and we should continue to look at short yardage plays. Not long bombs to Jennings. Ponder is somewhat of a poor man's Alex Smith. But last year we didn't try and play like we had a top shelf QB and we made the playoffs.

For the love of god Ponder! Opening drive he throws to a 2 on 1 and it's interception time. He can't throw long and I don't understand why those plays are called. On 3rd and long I'd rather see a screen pass to AP or Patterson.

Cutler is starting against Detroit. Should be a good game if Cutler isn't too rusty. Obviously my vikes aren't in the hunt this year but I love the NFC north. It is always a division where every game counts but it can be bloody stressful.

The Miami situation will get worse before it gets better. Incognito is done in the league and would want to keep his head low. The whole Miami locker room must be a bad place to be if things like this can happen and the head office at Miami must have not wanted to know anything about it. The hazing and dinner bills are from what I have read quite normal but voicemails with racial slurs is far beyond a rookie hazing. How stupid is Incognito? After Cooper was busted for racial slurs in the pre season this moron goes and leaves a voicemail. Tips: Washington Seattle Denver

I can still see Green Bay making it. Their schedule is pretty easy and unlike other years they have a running game. Matt Flynn is available. Vikings have 3 backup QB's if you want one Macca.

Vikings lose on the last drive of the game. Thought we had that game done and won but Romo finds a way. Did anyone see Houston's head coach collapse? He is in hospital now while Houston are still up on Indy.

My marking ability in forum games comes from being 6 foot 4 and I always line up on the most vertically challenged opponent I can find. The best sporting sledge I ever received was being called a goal post with a face during a district cricket game.

Bloody bengals! No double points for me. Bengals were pounded from the running game. Miami clued on pretty quick and kept running the rock. Losing in OT from a safety. I can't remember that happening for a while. Atkins is done for the year. Torn ACL. Damn thats a lot of injuries for all teams this year. If Green Bay lose another receiver I may get a call up. Wouldn't matter though. Rodgers would still throw over 300 yards and I would look like a awesome receiver. Then I would sign a big fat contract somewhere else with a spud QB and look stupid on the field. Sounds like a Greg Jennings story.

Couldn't believe that st.louis had the chance to steal that game in the dying seconds. That would have been a huge upset. Seattle may drop a game soon but with Harvin due to make his debut soon I don't think we will see such low numbers on offence again.

Already been said but megatron got himself some madden numbers. You only see those kind of yards on a Xbox. Packers have the running game that can take them deep this year. Rodgers is staying up right and is a joy to watch with his precision. Shame it had to be against the vikes. The jets outlast the pats the week before and then get whooped. Are the bengals the real deal? Dallas Detroit game was awesome to watch. It had touchdowns galore and a spaz attack by Bryant.

Someone in Washington has trademarked the name Washington Bravehearts. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000269535/article/washington-redskins-nix-bravehearts-team-name Another rule change thought of was to make the fumble a dead ball. This would stop players leading with the helmet to pop out the ball and cause the fumble. But as Macca raised a RB can smash his head into the scrimmage.
