A month ago I would have sworn Chicago would clinch the NFC north but the packers have it. Bloody Seattle smash the bills and they stay ahead in the wild card race. Cowboys aren't far off either with a good win in OT. What's up with the ravens? They fire their offensive coordinator this late in the year and now look lost on offence.

I am terribly biased when it comes to the MVP debate so keep that in mind. The Vikings don't have a dangerous QB or even a good one. Christian ponder is average at best. I'm not trying to slag him off but the point is every defense knows AP will be carrying the ball for 75% of plays but the defense still can't stop him. I think the knee injury adds to my case. To come back round 1 after a blown knee Christmas eve is astonishing. First Play last week against Chicago he runs for 52 yards and has 100 in the first quarter. I know it's obvious I love the guy. My bet is on peyton getting the nod though. They love their quarterbacks.

I think the bears will slip away they have too many injuries. I can't believe the jets are still in the hunt. That was luck's 6th game winning drive. It looks like foles is taking control in Philly. I wonder where Vick will be next year?

Vikes win and A.P had 100 rushing yards in the first quarter has to be close to MVP. When I need Seattle to lose they scrape over the line against the cards by 58 points! Cam newton reminded everyone he can play and the redskins find a way to win. The NFC wildcard race stays tight.

I had a look at Purplepride.Org. It's the Vikings version of demonland and I mean nearly exact version. There may be more Vikings fans on here. There are Sack the QB threads, Sack the Coach threads, Sack the GM,Coach and QB and the general I can't take this anymore threads. One that I did get a chuckle from was the post that asked why didn't we draft Kaepernick instead of Ponder? I guess Kaepernick is the Jack Darling of the N.F.L.

There was some dodgy tackling attempts from Green Bay but still he is a bloody legend. He gets us into the red zone and then Ponder throws picks. He is frustrating and It must frustrate AP and the rest of the team. That was a winnable game. But this is his first full season as a starter so I'll cut him some slack for now. No shame in losing at Green Bay.

What happend in KC is ubelievable but not at the same time which makes no sense. It seems all too common in the States and in and around the N.F.L at the moment. If it is concussion related it adds more reason why the game is being fine tuned to not have such big hits through fines and suspensions. Still some ex players complain about the old traditions being ruined. Jared Allen was fined $21K for a good hip and shoulder last week. It didn't look like much but if it has to be done so be it.

Just watched the preview for the packers Vikings game. No one has beaten green bay at home in December for 4 years. Last time we played Rogers threw for ridiculous yards. But when AP has 20+ carries a game vikes are undefeated this year. So I guess it's gonna take 50 carries from the great man to keep the game interesting.

The giants pass rushing made a big difference in the game. Rodgers didn't have much time and a clear pocket to throw in most of the time. I think Seattle are at Chicago and Tampa are at Denver next week. If they both lose and your packers win (which they should) then it gives you a clearer playoff picture.

sigh. The vikings lose and never looked in the game at all. The bears Offensive and defensive lines help up pretty well today. Brandon Marshall is a freak. That bloke can catch any ball and Cutler went to him all day. The Vikings play calls were confusing today. Peterson drove the ball from one end to the other then they go for it on 4th and 2 in the red zone and we go for a touch down pass. It looked like the Vikes were just trying to get Ponder in the game. Peterson had 35 yards at the half and once they realised they can't score without him he had over 70 yards in the second half. Jerome Simpson dropped every pass that came his way. We need Percy Harvin real bad. Credit to the bears though. 5 blokes injured for them on the day and they get the win.

Yeah Macca I'm happy the Vikes or on the box tommorow. Cutler will probably play and Percy Harvin has been ruled out so I guess the Vikies gameplan involves Peterson running and then more of Peterson running. The cheeseheads picked a good time to play the Giants they seem to have hit a funk lately. Bit rough for smith I feel for him. New Orleans are on fire so benching smith is risky. The Cowboys are very predictable to me. Every year they win a couple get talked up or Jerry Jones talks them up and then they fall over in a heap. Watching the cowboys fail is a sport within a sport sometimes.

49ers coach was a bit cautious on the subject of their two QB's after the game. He wouldn't say who would start next week. Surely he is just trying to fire smith up a bit.

The 49ers smashing of Chicago puts green bay on top of the NFC north. It's getting very tight in the NFC. Chicago have the Vikings twice in three weeks with green bay in between. Could not have written a better script for the next three weeks.

I thought Detroit were going to get the job done but turnovers killed off any chance of a win. Green bay will be looking for a new kicker as he can't hit a target. The jags nearly got the upset of the year pushing Houston into OT with their back up QB I would of loved them to get the win.

Ok so it's not quite there but we are getting down to some very important games and some teams have been written off and playoffs aren't looking good for them. I'd love to read your best and worst teams so far and biggest surprise team. My best team has to be Houston I know it's a bit obvious but they out defended Chicago in crap conditions and that defense could win them a Super Bowl. Worst team apart from Jacksonville is a toss up between Philly and the jets but I'll take Philly. They are a turnover machine and could/probably will be looking at a new coach and QB. Biggest surprise team is Carolina. I'm surprised they have not improved at all. I'm a massive fan of newton but he seems to spit the dummy sometimes and he and his offence have clicked all year.

Peterson in the last four weeks has ran for I think 650 yards. After blowing out his knee to comeback like this is unbelievable. We just need ponder to chip in with Peterson and we win games. I still think that the bears and packers are a class above the Vikings though.

Cutler has concussion and might not play next week against San Fran. Myself and macca need the bears to stumble for the next few weeks. Vikings have the bye then play bears packers then Chicago again. The NFC north should be finalized after those games.

Vikings have to hold on to the one touchdown lead we have over the lions. Ponder is actually throwing the ball. This is his first 100+ yards of throwing in nearly a month! Is anyone a fan of the Thursday night games? It's such a short turn around from one week to the thursday night game and some of the games haven't been the best quality. Watched a interview with coach Frazier from the Vikings and he said they had to do a 3 day training routine and shrink it into one day. It makes the buc's win against the vikes even better considering they had to travel as well.

Vikings got whooped. We were found out big time. Ponder had another lack lasture game but Peterson is just a beast of a man. 5-3 is still a good record but with the bears and packers looking good the playoffs are going to be hard to get to. Still a happy Viking fan though last year we finished with a 3-13 record so anything is better then that.

Yes I finally get to see the Vikings but I'm happy to watch josh freeman too I think he is a damn good QB. Ponder should get some good numbers today the bucs secondary is pretty ordinary and if that fails we will just give it to Peterson he never fails.

Those lions are in a lot of trouble. I know the NFC north is a tough division but I didn't see them being last. Should be a easy win for green bay this week and Jennings may return this week or next. Your of fence hasn't missed him much though.
