  1. Might be exaggerating there, but might not to be honest - we were the second row. The entire row in front of us (literally, 10-15 people) got up, turned around and mouthed off at me, the six people to our left cracked it and there were easily 10-12 behind us who didn't stop abusing us. All over hearing some support for the opposite team.
  2. I'll be honest, when there's 40 Hawthorn supporters up against 2 MFC supporters and a neutral I think there's only going to be one group asked to move, and it's not going to be the Hawks fans.
  3. Was my usual vocal self at the game - towards the game, not towards the supporters. Some of the vitriol was disgusting. And I honestly believe that if my girlfriend wasn't with us that we would have been attacked. There were kids around too - Hawthorn-supporting kids, and the garbage the adults near them were yelling at us was filthy. Reminds me of the stories of Victoria Park to be honest, it was that bad. Returned fire with the voice, but I wasn't going to do anything too over the top. I didn't have much of a choice though, we copped it from literally the 2 minute mark.
  4. Anyone else have a tough time of it? We sat in our regular seats - Q49 - and copped personal attacks from Dawks fans from the word go. We were threatened, abused, told to shut up, sworn at and spat on. Worst experience I've ever had at a match by a very long way. There was a fight over in the Bay 13 area and there's been other things I've seen and heard about from Friday night, including beers being tipped over people etc.
  5. Oh, that I get. But what I'm saying is don't draft a 23-24 year old at #2 when you could have one of the best kids in the country. Especially since if you're keen they will generally slip anyway.
  6. Partially. The problem is, every single side without fail plays the defensive side of the Collingwood gameplan - the 'press'. A lot of sides play an offensive variant of the Pies' plan too - in particular kicking out of defence to the flanks to force a stoppage. The difference is the other offensive play, which is where we have stagnated and struggled. This is the 'run and spread', which we do not have at all.
  7. We seriously need to shove it up them. I'd be surprised if Neeld hasn't had a Moneyball moment yet.
  8. I agree, but not with a top-ender. Top end first- and second-round picks should absolutely be used on the top youth products. A third-rounder or a PSD/rookie pick I have no problem with a SANFL/WAFL player.
  9. Whitfield, Viney, Stringer. That'll be for sure. Unless we elect to open up Pick 2 to trade...wonder what that would get us in a super draft?
  10. I hope that they line up the playing group. Different coach, same [censored] served up. Whole different admin, same [censored] served up. What's the consistent element? The playing group.
  11. The worst part is, I can't see us winning. At all. At least under the Bailey game plan if it all came together you got a great game. I've never been more depressed. MFCSS setting in.
  12. Official. Bottom of the ladder.
  13. 6. Clark 5. Bartram 4. Jones 3. Frawley 2. McKenzie 1. Rivers
  14. I spent 3 hours copping [censored] from the biggest bunch of [censored] weak bandwagon supporters in the competition, and the guys that I'm meant to be supporting give me virtually no reason to.
  15. Not sure about that, I'm literally going to just walk in there with it. Not sure about you cos you're down in Traralgon
  16. TFS is very much nearly unwatchable, but the Triple M banter is generally very good as long as Dogkiller's team isn't on.
  17. Just got the call-back THEY HAVE COVER OVERS They are in fact available today - going to get mine done tonight. No charge for them.
  18. Called them today, waiting for a call back - she said she's still not sure, they were definitely looking at a cover for the Reach ones though because of the special circumstances.
  19. Please don't bring up the curse, I'm starting to believe...
  20. Wasn't Luke Ball and Colllingwood 'tampering with the draft process'? I'm sick of us getting shafted. RR made the point that we couldn't have matched the GW$ deal for Juda$ - doesn't help when the AFL didn't even let us into the ballpark. Carlton made a deal with Judd, but no, because it's Melbourne the loophole can be closed. Collingwood got away with draft tampering, but oh no, because it's Melbourne they can't do it. Whose soup did we spit in to get white-anted like this?
  21. First shutting the $cully loophole and now this [censored]. Do the AFL like us being cellar dwellers?
  22. I'll fess up, right now my morale regarding the footy is at the lowest it's ever been. I go week-in, week-out, but don't even put out the hope that we'll get a win. I'm looking for performances from the younger guys and hoping we don't get flogged too badly. I know long-term it's going to be a good thing, yada yada, but by god it's depressing now. What a win would do for me...
  23. What has happened to young Bradley I wonder if he can't get a gig for Casey?
  24. I like the idea. So the 4 Prelim teams go to the NS League?
  25. Yeah it will for bottom tier and top tier. If you want good seats in either make sure you get there 20mins early (thereabouts)
