  1. Maybe we need to talk more !$#! OD ...
  2. Have used a shovel before, but maybe not at a level you are expecting ...
  3. Well done on the foxes, always as good as knocking off rabbits. Not sure channelling is at the top of my list of skills, but if you don't mind wobbles here and there, I will give it a go ...
  4. Jazza, you must have a direct line to the AFL ... http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-could-have-a-female-field-umpire-within-two-years-says-wayne-campbell-20140923-10kwmb.html
  5. You are not the first and probably not the last ... Channelling jazza is fine as long as he stays off the smokes ...
  6. But that will stuff up their Twitter handles ... :-)
  7. Thanks, OD. Had my coffee, and I still think the same . FWIW I liked the blazers, but I am not going to die in a ditch for them. It was worth it for the stir, anyway ... (now I think I am channelling jazza ... )
  8. Yes, but Jimmy stopped wearing 11 in 1998. As for 31, I can barely remember Barassi wearing it. At some point, we have to move on and let the next lot make their own history. For me, that is next season for all numbers. I like it when the bloke in 2 does well (certainly the case now), and when the bloke in 9 does well (not so much recently, but a few seasons ago he was flying), but of course I would be just as happy if it were 7, 44 or 99.
  9. I am of the opposite opinion. Move it onto someone, anyone, as soon as possible. Let the new bloke make his own history in it. I love nostalgia as much as anyone, but we have to live in the present. Let's remember the past, but not live there. If you want nostalgia, bring back the blazers ... :-) (sorry OD)
  10. Looks more like 13 and no, OD ...
  11. And for that matter, the 'famous midfielders' award, ie someone from one of the top 4 teams or 'famous' a la Ablett. Not saying the winners are undeserving, but just makes it uninteresting.
  12. Yeah. but how many votes will Chunk get in the Brownlow? And will Dom poll more votes than him?
  13. Ok. I'll make sure that I am particularly hard on dairy farmers ...
  14. Not today. But I am on jury duty next week --- does that count?
  15. Celebrating Scottish non-independence, OD?
  16. Please don't, DF. I can understand your reservation, and I certainly don't condone the Essendon program. However, it doesn't seem he was a major player (although what we don't know about it all is still very large) and surely that would be one of the first issues discussed by Roos, Viney et al. Otherwise he seems a very impressive coach and deserves a fair go IMHO. After ally, no one is perfect, not even Roosy ...
  17. I think we do a few things backwards ... :-) With the help of a computer it is amazing what you can do ... :-)
  18. It is a bit hard to when there is so much fun to be had, Redleg. Countdowns are great, but a little predictable ...
  19. So a French woman umpire calling out "Holding the ball!" would provoke an interesting reaction, I bet ...
  20. Music for your ears, jazza ... http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-09-17/new-wave-for-female-umps-in-wafl?utm_medium=RSS
  21. Sometimes all you can do is laugh, even if it is in bad taste ...
  22. You are repeating yourself, jazza, which is not a good sign ... Have you personal experience of drug dealers' funerals? Hope not! Keep staying off the durries ...
  23. Is that the cow that gives strawberry milkshakes?
