BBO, teachers are generally underpaid and undervalued, but then so are farmers and various other occupations. I have a daughter in year 9 myself, so I can relate to your story, and I think, like jazza, that what you are doing for the poor kid is great.

Thats quite insulting to teachers (which include my wife, mother and aunt). My aunt would have probably thrown the cow pats back at you and said "Clean up your own mess!"
