  1. No. What is it like? You must be either not hungry, or a closet vegan ...
  2. Our form has been in hell for so long it has probably forgotten what hail looks like ....
  3. Sounds good. Top it off with some barbecued camel, and you have Christmas dinner!
  4. Paleo feast: roast monkey stuffed with roast possum stuffed with fried banana ...
  5. I'd be game for a possum burger. At least that would be some good use for those long-tailed native rats ...
  6. You are entirely correct. Never been to Kenya, and certainly not to a Macca's there. I guess there hasn't been a McBanana burger either ...
  7. Yeah, monkey smoothies never really caught on ...
  8. Jazza is more likely to think a calf injury is getting kicked in the nuts by a young cow ....
  9. Some serious geek credentials there, bjDee. Linux vs Unix? I will be even more impressed if you can articulate the difference between them and Multics. As for thread vs thread, it needn't be one or the other. But if it is, it is a new upstart with a recent win or two up against a multi-premiership juggernaut
  10. Perhaps we are all just too stunned from the best Dees win for about a decade ...
  11. Can you arrange to do some more driving from the Surt Coast in future, Earl?
  12. Glad it was a great day, jazza, and a perfect result.
  13. Plenty of pruning to be done in mine ....
  14. Hope you are over it soon. It is certainly not a great feeling.
  15. Those Pies supporters are a devious lot, OD ...
  16. I was thinking more the last four syllables of bull frog [censored] artist ...
  17. Nothing a few consecutive wins wouldn't fix ...
  18. Would I do that? I didn't see your other post, as I tend not to read every thread in detail after we lose. FWIW I share your sentiment.
  19. Come on, OD, you know better than that. Would I a prefer a full glass? Of course. Do I like the fact that we lost? No. Can I change anything about it? No. Can I do anything other than yell from the sidelines? No. So I can either say "#^R$#$!!! We lost again!" (plenty of threads for that ), or say "Hmm.. what we the good things about today?". I'll take the latter any time.
  20. Apart from the result, I had a good day at the footy. Joined the march to the G at the last minute, managed to get close to Neale, the PM and Gill (didn't realise the dill was so tall), as well as Eddie, Neale and Bill Shorten. Even managed a quick word with Neale and gave him a pat on the back. Then saw some play from the Dees that I haven't seen for some time -- dash, pace and skill. There were the usual clangers, and the margin was pretty much Cloke and the maggots, but finally some spirited footy --- just not enough of it. Call me a glass-half full dreamer (OD, your cue ), but there it is.
  21. Good to hear about the coffee place --- must try that next time I am in the area. As for the ride, I am guessing it was the Koonung Creek trail to the Yarra trail, and then down the Gardiners creek trail. A very nice ride, at that.
  22. Off your tree, OD? I think there are a few other apricots around here then ... BTW you are absolutely right about getting them straight off the tree. A ripe white peach on a warm day is something special.
  23. Don't think I have tried the yellow fingers variety (and for that matter, I don't think I have seen bananas for sale that were not yellow).
  24. So, back to the price of bananas ... I tried reading the Adam Goodes thread, but after the first 12 pages it got almost as depressing as the ones about the game on the weekend ...
  25. The newly optimistic OD, fresh from the bottom of the Yarra, would presumably be delighted with Rohan ...
