  1. Red bananas. I thought a connoisseur like yourself would know such things ...
  2. Why not? But thanks for the idea anyway ...
  3. Yes --- just realised we are fresh out of them, and better go and obtain some more. Thanks for the reminder! Redleg is probably sipping a banana daquiri in some swank US bar as we type ...
  4. True, unfortunately for me. If we have to discuss former liberal state premiers, then Bolte or Hamer for mine. But the price of bananas will always win out ...
  5. You prefer discussions about North and East Burwood?
  6. The Google map that pops up from Wikipedia suggests something a lot smaller --- basically Warrigal Road to the west, Riversdale Road to the north, Stephensons Road to the east and Highbury Road (sort of) to the south. However, given the rather weird and wobbly lines, especially the southern one, I could believe that the surveyor responsible found these boundaries via a pub crawl ... More bizarrely, the same source defines Burwood East in a similarly nonlinear fashion, with the result that the Burvale appears to be not in Burwood East, but in Vermont South. Add that to the list of stuff you know but wish you had never found out ... :)
  7. Jeff Kennett was the Member for Burwood, wasn't he? Kind of says it all ... :)
  8. The Gat of its day, then? You seem very familiar with it .... :-)
  9. No doubt in a banana republic ...
  10. I have a feeling black water would taste better than that muck ...
  11. That is what coffee is for (not that the Yanks have discovered real coffee yet )
  12. Because you feel right at home!
  13. I haven't tried these, but knock yourself out with this lot ....
  14. Work or pleasure, Redleg? If it is the latter, have a great time!
  15. Is that like being fully sick?
  16. I don't suppose you saw any Demon Frogs while you were there?
  17. So it looks like the fat lady known as WADA won't be singing for a couple of years yet ...
  18. Presumably you weren't able to rent his for your stay? And how was the room at Buck House?
  19. Barbarism starts at home, eh?
  20. So you were the bloke in that episode of Top Gear who drove a Bentley into the middle of nowhere to round up cattle? That would explain a few things ...
  21. Dangerous practice that -- didn't anyone ever tell them not to roll and smoke at the same time?
  22. Probably leading a secret terrorist raid on an asparagus farm.
  23. So you are really a cat in a frog suit?
  24. Don't you know it's going to be alright
  25. Is that like Strawberry midfields forever?
