Omac needs to go back to the 2s to get some confidence and skills but unfortunately I don’t think it will happen. Not sure what it is but he has more lives than a cat.

Went and watched my son play footy today and it was a much better match than the one I witnessed yest. He played for the first time since Auskick as he has been playing ball since and played full forward/ruck relief. He kicked 2.1, had some hit outs and made about 5 tackles. The temp was 35 and about 80% humidity too. He did really well and it was nice to see him play his guts out. Was a great team effort After yesterday’s game it was pleasing to watch a match that the players looked interested in playing.

I think we all know it’s part of the problem. As we can all see we have a few of them based on today’s game.

IMO Preus would have been good not just as backup/support for Gawn but he would have brought a lot of mongrel which is clearly what we lacked.

We were slow last season and you would have thought we would have addressed it in the offseason but obviously it wasn’t a priority, maybe it should have been. Its easy to beat us if you have players that can run and spread.

I know it's only the first game but geez we looked slow and unfit amd even disinterested. No score kicked in the last either. Great start fellas (bathwater drink drink). Not having Preus in the side was a stroke of genius.

We look stuffed and unfit. Its the first game of the season and we look done.

Round 1 is a massive test. With port having some players out it will be interesting to see the mindset of our players. In the past when the opposition has players out we seem to think we will win without working hard. To me this is between the ears. We need to play 4 quarters at 100% and not stop until the final siren which is something we haven’t been able to do consistently. Time will tell.

Before I get to excited I need to see him play consistently which will hopefully happen this season. If that happens then re-sign him if not then I have no doubt the collywoobles will go after him.

This is exactly my thoughts seems to be interested in living somewhere and being around family and mates rather than playing finals and winning a premiership which is why u play footy Says a lot. Glad he is gone as we won’t have any distractions next season of will he won’t he crap.

Maybe he wouldn’t have felt pushed if he agreed to sign an extension.

May also said that Goody spoke to him about where they could improve/develop his game which no other team did. The others just spoke about where they want to get as a team. Wise words from Goody which influenced Mays decision. Great work for the MFC.

Imo there is also room for Frost which could result in Omac playing at Casey until he develops more of his game rather than in the seniors.

The kk inclusion was my opinion pickers was saying May only. I understand why people think it’s unders but if Hogan doesn’t want to be here and won’t sign long term there’s no point in keeping him unless the offer is ridiculous.
