    It's an incentive. It promotes mediocrity and insinuates that AFL teams can act poorly and get benefits from it. That's the general argument that has been trolling around the forums of the AFL of recent. I invite the 17 other clubs to try it. If they think that what we've been through is worth it, come and try it out. See if you think a good Coach is worth what we've been through. Losing an Icon, a Leader, a Vision, Fighting Debt, Horrific Loss after Horrific Loss after Horrific Loss, losing players to stronger teams, being a joke, and MUCH MUCH more. If you think going through that perfectly equates to getting some money for a good coach, I welcome others to try it.

    David Parkin (on our coach picking committee) was told by Gerard Whateley about a minute or two after Roos said it. Parkin sounded more shocked than any of us. I genuinely think he had no idea.
