  1. Parish is an Under age AA, who is seen by all as the most complete midfield of this draft. His only "weakness" is that at 181cm, he's 4 cm shorter than Simon Goodwin. Ben Cousins was 179cm...
  2. HEY! Are you having a go at Devo!!??? Sheeeesh!
  3. True. Not completed, I stand corrected.
  4. Mate, Its Day 1 of the trade period! Yet you're claiming that we won't land a big fish? based on what? Then, you claim inside knowledge of the priorities of the FD. My claim about Melksham being "a priority" is based on the FACT that they targeted him weeks ago (publicly) and pushed through getting him on Day 1. You're quite strange.
  5. It's evident that Milksham was targeted by the FD as a priority get, most likely several months ago, to fill a specific role in the structure that they are building. After the wins of recruiting last year and just acknowledging the professionalism by which Roos, Goodwin, Viney etc... go about selecting players to bring into the club, I've got confidence this deal will be good for us.
  6. Based on the length of this thread (49 pages) compared to the length of the Dangerfield thread (169 pages) and given what the cats gave up for Dangerfield (1st Round + 2nd Round + 3rd round player) seems we got an OK deal for Melksham. Welcome to the MFC Jake...
  7. Given the inside knowledge on Melksham that both Goodwin and McCartney have, I'll back them to make this deal good for us.
  8. Not necessarily our first second rounder...
  9. Maybe not... and don't call me Shirley.
  10. Would love it that you're right Mach! The salt that would provide for those bomber wounds... would be such fun. Looking at Milkshakes highlights, he can extract the ball and belt it long which would have Hogan salivating...
  11. Agree, the list at Tigerland looks average, but I'm not that familiar with whos who and we'd be looking at a Mid to replace a mid...
  12. Richmond are in an interesting space for us. They think they're close to being a contender and will therefore sacrifice high picks for ready made players that fill their perceived weaknesses. So maybe there's an opportunity for us with Tyson to Tigers... They have picks 12, 31, 49... and players? what would be acceptable for Dom?
  13. Dons are so desperately in need of high draft picks after being banned from the early rounds they'll be looking to keep pick 4 and add top 10 picks. i.e. our pick 6, etc...

  15. Adds another element to future season support as Should the MFC trade its first 2016 pick to GWS for a player, GWS will have a view on where the MFC will finish (i.e. the value of this first pick), and will be hoping we finish as low as possible, and suffering if we were to bounce up the ladder (reducing the value of their pick). Whole new dimension of strategy required by all clubs in order to manage and profit from this new element.
  16. I think the naughty Bennell would be a better bargain than Motlop. Cats won't let him go without a fight.
  17. What ever happened to Mitch?
  18. Its interesting as none of those players would be in most supporter's "top 22 MFC players". So our actual problem is that our current "top 22 player" list is still sub-par, and I'd far prefer to focus on and replace those sub-par "top 22 players", than focus on players outside our top 22 who'll most likely be playing for Casey if we were injury free. To name several sub-par "top 22 players" (on current form) - Dawes, Howe, Jamar, Watts.
  19. It's like having the Devil in your corner...
  20. I pledge to drink several pints of cider after each breakthrough.
  21. Can you also add the win over in SA last year, was big and be nice to feel we've knocked over more than just one record since Roo's arrival..?
  22. Saints are in damage control, as they lead their fans to believe Petracca was the No#1 and then changed their minds...
  23. Assuming we get Christian Petracca, is it a good trade for Chip Frawley?
