No AFL footballer is soft Lukosius isn't a pack crunching key forward like JVR. But he's a good mark, one on one included, an exceptional kick and decision maker and would definitely be a big part of our forward set up over the next 8-10 years. He's also versatile, plays back if needed. I can even see him getting time in the middle, such is his high footy IQ The whole 'Jack Watts 2.0' label shows that some fans like cheap shot labels because it's easier than thinking in any depth It's a big YES from me, assuming the price isn't too high. I'm just gonna try and scan in my 16 game membership and walk around until I can find a seat. Might even sneak into lev 2 where I sit for home games, unfortunately this time surrounded by rabid tiger fans. Perhaps I'll get BBO to find a seat for me, his outfit usually clears the nearby area within 20 mins

I have a bunch of friends who were mad Fitzroy supporters from the day thet were born. Some had long history of familial ties to the club. One mate has an old large b&w photo of their last premiership team with signatures below, and a few jerseys from that era, passed down through the family They used to go on crazy interstate trips as teenagers with the cheer squad and get up to all sorts of mischief, often alongside the players. Many of them hoped for a North merger so they could survive in some way in Melbourne city. It was widely known how poor the club was and how badly it had been run. They were all blindsided by the Brisbane merger and furious at the AFL and Oakley. Two mates eventually became Brisbane supporters, almost reluctantly. All the rest no longer follow any team or footy at all. I thought of them when we were at our worst around the Bailey/Neeld time, worried that history may repeat. 2021 was all the sweeter to realise we have come so far. But survival and success are more than winning one flag. Our time is now.
