  1. If they had any brains they'd stay clear of footy forums. I recall Robbo having a sook after his retirement about the abuse players copped in social media and on forums. Can't remember if he named Ology or Land. Surely the club would yell loud and clear "do not go there for your own good" IIRC Schwabby used to post here occasionally. Lol!
  2. No rhyme or reason. Must be on the good stuff Hirdy ordered
  3. Not the only consideration, but telling nonetheless. Weid stays.
  4. They have also been working on strengthening his neck muscles to minimise the whiplash effect. May have helped in this clash, not sure though
  5. Good to see you back Toady. I'd be thrilled to see Turd present the Norm Smith to Oliver in a 2017 premiership. I could then pull out my giant inflatable syringe at the G and watch it bounce around on top of the crowd.
  6. Liked the efforts of Pedo. Got plenty of it. Hope he can retain his spot beyond R23
  7. Goodwin in after game presser: "I'm a pretty happy coach to have him in our forward 50" Think he might snag a few against Brisbane
  8. Unless Hogan is ready (unlikely) I'd like to see Weid remain. Needs more than one game and I think vs Bris may be a good chance to kick a few
  9. Not my style Steve. Happy for him to succeed in time. Games, preseasons and belief will get him there. Does get pushed around too easily atm though
  10. Too early to say. Currently gets pushed out of the contest too easily. Needs more leg and core strength. He'll get there. Revisit this in 2 years
  11. School holidays already?
  12. His weight is largely irrelevant, his strength is the more important consideration. Currently at AFL level he gets easily pushed off the contest or off his line. He lacks strength through the legs and core to hold his position like Hogan can. The AFL games he played this year are proof of that. 1 or 2 more preseasons and that will be different. I would be highly, highly surprised if anyone inside the club expected him to hold down a kpf post this early. We've seen some mouth watering glimpses, such as the big mark he took vs Carl earlier in the year. His time will come, we can both agree on that
  13. "Convo" = wild unsubstantiated speculation Mate, WADR, that last sentence is ridiculous. Do you honestly think the club expects the Weid to holding down a KPF position in his second season with his frame? I'd think they hope at earliest this time next year and probably more likely 2019. He's not the type to mature early, more of a slow burn. Hitting his straps around the age of 24-25.
  14. From your lips to [insert preferred deity here]'s ears Red. Particularly agree with the last bit.
  15. While Tim's at it, maybe he can campaign Hird and the EFC to release all the documents
  16. I was my understanding the raised foot in a marking situation was permitted so the person going for the mark with their arms raised could protect their body. Raised foot or leg but not a kick. It could be argued that Greene's was a handball receive not a marking attempt and he wasn't under any excessive physical danger that would justify raising his foot to head height. To me it looked like he wanted to disable the opponent's ability to tackle and the foot impact was intentional, almost a kicking action.
  17. Jeffy has had a good year overall. Some of our better players have had significant injuries too. Gawn, Jones, Hogan, Viney. An unfortunately reality of AFL
  18. I heard Jack was going off watching stuie's Nickelback cover band. Just sayin'....
  19. Depends. How were his dance moves? We're the cops shooting at him?
  20. Feeling like his wife cheated on him?!! Please! Typical star footballer that has never had someone say 'no' to him until it's too late and it all turns to sh!t. Then still cant understand why. Carey, Ablett snr, Jobe, Hird.... different situations but all oblivious to the consequences of their actions. IT WAS YOU WHO DID THE CHEATING JOBE!!!
  21. Only a dumb club would trade Weid when he is a 2nd year key fwd with potential. He's worth more to us going ahead than his value now on the open market. I'd much rather Kelly or Devon Smith or Kennedy or Hopper from GWS than Patten or Lobbe. We are still badly short of quality mid depth, particularly outside quality. Dont get me wrong, Lever would be a good get, but I'd wet my pants if we got Kelly.
  22. Maybe to get ahead of other teams potentially in the hunt for new coach in 2018? If they started looking now on the quiet, Rocket would find out in 10 mins and would make for a situation worse than it currently is. Also, there may be legal contractual obligations that require notice to be given. Edit. What La Dee-vina said
  23. That had more to do with seeing an obese cross dresser in a hotel dressing gown with a full colostomy bag peeking out the back. Not the best sight first thing on a cold Canberra Sunday morning
  24. With Dusty looking more likely to re-sign with the Toigs, Kelly will become the main AFL mid left OOC. Unless we are prepared to spend $1mill+ pa, he'll be elsewhere in 2018. Can't see it happening, but he is just what we need
  25. And no 10+ goal thumping (so far) Worth noting our midfield has been carried by a 19 yo for much of the year. Sore, young bodies tiring late in the season.
