Whelan for me. One of my favorite players. The old saying of guts and determination personified Whelan. It was rare that you saw him being beaten. My all time favorite back pocket player. Wight was a great player as well so again not an easy decision but he did have that "Frost" element about him.

Yes the Ox for me as well. One of the most talented players we have had. Stretch was a great player as well. We have had some good wingman over the years with Flower, Tingay. Johnstone and Alves. Stretch is up there with them.

Balls was one of my favorite players ever so hard to tip against him but Nietz is Nietz.

My mistake. You are right about Matt but his tenure was no where near as long but from memory he had a really good couple of years.

Agreed. I actually put febey well in front but I have a liking for solid defenders and febey was one of those.

I have to say Johnson. He was one the best players to wear a demons jumper. I remember him playing at Vic park in round 1 ( I am sure it was his first game ) and was sold on him immediately. Todd was a great player and an excellent captain.

Nietz is my number 1. On pure talent I would have Jakovich and schwarz as our 2 best but injuries ruined them. When it comes to a bloke willing to sacrifice everything them Stynes.
