  1. I think it's pretty obvious that the Club sees Weid as the future of the Club, whereas Mitch is of course a fair bit older. Perhaps Mitch would have been selected if the opponent was a top side? Hopefully Weid doesn't drop those sitters ... and when he gets the chance kicks straight.
  2. Dylan Shiel is back in the side !!
  3. I was at that match .... And people ask why many Demons supporters have (or at least had) MFCSS !!!
  4. Jordan was the type of player who invariably played well against us when he was with Hawthorn. Having said that plenty of players did. He was however pretty much cooked when he came to MFC. His on ground form wasn't great when he played with the Dees. He was pretty slow, often went to ground and was undisciplined. So, was signing him worth it? I think so. It sent a message to the football world that a high profile player (albeit past it) was happy to come to the Club. And his background (4 flags) and football knowledge (learnings, hah) helped educate his teammates. Apparently he was pretty good directing traffic on the ground and emphasizing good training standards.
  5. So sorry for Kade. I was effectively forced to move due to safety concerns about my former neighbour, an ex rugby player. I am pretty sure he has CTE ... his temper would escalate within seconds. I didn't feel safe living there any more. (Long story.)
  6. Yeah, but apart from 2 RS nominations and a premiership medal what has the guy actually done?
  7. I was at that match with my thirdborn. It was in 2009. Bailey was 12 years old at that time.
  8. And Chol as #2 forward.
  9. I really like Tom Stewart. Great player, and conducts himself really well. Should I feel ashamed?
  10. His marvellous punch when Guthrie kicked the ball out on the full in R23?
  11. I had the same experience. Without the helmet it would have been a fractured skull.

World Cup qualifier ... Socceroos 0 - Japan 2. Inescapable fact that the Socceroos are not a particularly good football team.
  13. His doppelganger ... Philip Lowe ... head of the Reserve Bank.
  14. I watched the replay of the R1 match. Hunt played well. Tomlinson just so/so.
  15. Rivers, Lever & Hibbert all shown as "test". I"m sure the Club will be very conservative. I'm predicting either Rivers or Hibbo to return, but not both. And Lever .. no way.
  16. Interesting. I thought it would be one of the team rules of every club not to do that. Years ago Richo was suspended by his own club for a match because he did that.
  17. No ... it was Jack Fitzpatrick.
  18. Of course they'll lose.
  19. You can't build a forward line around Chol and Casboult. They are terrible.
  20. Poos & Wees v Norf ... terrible standard. Like a country football match.
  21. Zorko (getting old), Lyons and Berry isn't an A grade midfield.
  22. Both Jacko and English will agree to 2 year extensions to their existing contracts.
  23. IMHO Smith can't play the Salem role ... He did really well v Doggins, but his disposal and decision making is not particularly good, unlike Salem who is elite.
  24. The filth was the only team that the Demons didn't beat last season.
