  1. Best result is the teams pushing for 4th place losing, namely Essendon, Bulldogs + Saints. Agree with other posters who suggested finishing fourth and playing the filth in the first week of the finals is preferable to finishing 2nd or 3rd and playing an away final v Brisbane or Port.
  2. Alan Scott will be delighted !!
  3. Agree .... I put a few bucks on GWS. Hopefully I lose my money!
  4. Good player in his day, but he's pretty much cooked.
  5. It certainly doesn't override the 'don't give a free kick against Pendlebery' presumption. While on the subject of Pendlebery, that free kick he got for 'in the back' was ridiculous ... he just threw himself to the ground.
  6. OMG ... just switched on. (Turned off at half time.) WTF?
  7. Who? FWIW I think we're better off with the filth winning today*. We've got no hope of finishing top 2, so it's better if the teams behind us lose to give us the best chance to finish top 4. *Shocking admission I know.
  8. Essendon and St Kilda losing is good for us, as they are the 2 teams closest to our 4th spot.
  9. Hmmm, are there serial lambasters in 'Land?
  10. The Saints' strategy of kicking the ball to Harris Andrews isn't proving overly effective.
  11. I don't that top 2 is a realistic hope for the Dees. Lions are certain to finish top 4 by reason of their likely home wins. Accordingly, I prefer that teams pushing for 4th place on the ladder lose ... read St Kilda!!
  12. From chocolates to boiled lollies .... 🥴
  13. And swearing at umpires ...
  14. Apparently it had its own postcode ....
  15. It makes it hard for the young Norf players when the senior players lack composure/leadership at vital moments. Late Q3 Norf had momentum. McKay kicked inboard ... went straight to Caleb Daniel (smallest player on the ground) ... turnover ... goal. Then Dogs got another goal. Momentum/game lost ... I also feel sorry for Larkey and Zurha. They try so hard. And kicks to Larkey are usually on his head, which means he cops way too much physically. Below ... Hugh Greenwood lookalike ... Matthew Newton.
  16. Sorry to hear that. He may well be a ripper bloke, but he's cooked as a footballer (IMHO). FWIW he looks very much like Matthew Newton.
  17. Bulldogs ... you know you're in trouble if Greenwood kicks 2 goals in a quarter against you.
  18. This type of weather reminds me of the following saying .... "The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese".
  19. Freo .... way to go. Hahaha
  20. I hate Hawkins, Rohan + Scott. I think I've forgotten another person I hate. No matter. I kinda like Stewart, Blicavs, Henry (the odd looking one) & Zac Guthrie. I hate Jee-long (clap/clap/clap) but not as much as I used to; cos Selwood is no longer there.
  21. Rylee West (Bulldogs) also looks kinda odd.
  22. Coincidentally I was doing today's Age cryptic crossword with my daughter. One of the answers was "galoots". She asked what "galoot" meant. I replied that it was Cox.
  23. Point of order. I suspect you mean Clifton Hill/Fitzroy Nth. Sorry ... it's my hood.
