  1. Summed up my position perfectly.
  2. I'm not going to debate Pedersen as a forward as I think we're both already aware of the other's opinion. I just think Frost looked lost in the forward line and didn't seem to offer much from what I could see (I watched it on tv as I live overseas). To me he seems like a more natural defender. Even when playing in the forward line, his greatest contribution for the match came from a spoil when he was caught behind his direct opponent. I'm not sure what the selection committee will do, and I'm aware that Frost has been training with the forwards all preseason, but if I were in charge I'd move him back as Oscar's replacement and bring Brayshaw into the side.
  3. This is what I'd rather see, as I don't rate Frost as a forward as he seems to be completely lost up there.
  4. I disagree. I think the right draft picks would get it done, especially since the player would have to nominate us as his preferred destination which would automatically put us in an advantageous negotiating position. If one of those players wants to come to us, the club will find a way to get it done. Given our trading history over the past few seasons, I'm also confident that we would be big winners in the deal.
  5. No. I'd be surprised to see any changes other than Dunn coming in for OMac.
  6. That wasn't a kick-out. Gawn came back and took a great mark in the goal square
  7. Garlett charged by the MRP and can accept a $1000 fine with an early plea. Good result for us.
  8. I hope they both lose.
  9. What do you think of Pedersen, Stuie?
  10. Cool your jets jnrmac. The comment of mine that you quoted was all that I said on the matter, and it's my opinion on his ability as a journalist, not the OMac/Dunn selection.
  11. I've always been a Watts fan and I definitely understand why he's getting a lot of votes here. I had him lower in my ranking due to how quiet he was in Q2 and Q3, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't very impressed with his game.
  12. The commentators (not usually known to dabble in hyperbole) were saying it one of the greatest first halves of a debut of all time
  13. What a great debut. Looks right at home in our midfield.
  14. 6- Viney. One of the best games I've seen him play. 5- Kennedy. Involved in a majority of our chances. 4- N Jones. A solid captain's game. 3- Oliver. Quiet third quarter, but a great debut. 2- Gawn. Was worried about Mummy going into this one, and I'd give Gawn the chocolates. 1- Watts. Did a few things that turned the game.
  15. Me at the siren:
  16. Commentators have gone from saying we'll be an also-ran to saying we're set for a big rise up the ladder
  17. This site is quite useful. He's listed at $51...not sure I'd be taking a punt on him this year, but I'm sure he'll win one if Carlton can start climbing the ladder.
  18. He's still contracted until 2017. He's played 22 games and kicked 13 goals, which in my book is doing quite well for a young, undersized player picked at #40 in the draft after two years in the system.
  19. Agreed. Riewoldt they had several guys play out of their skin last year and they still finished below us. I can't see them improving.
  20. Think you're getting the games confused. Petered dropped a mark in the square in round 2 of that year which would have won us the game. We ended up losing by a point. Warning: Disturbing content
  21. Agreed. I just did the Ladder Predictor on the AFL site and had them finishing 11th.
  22. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
